Jorgensen, who spent all of a planned, vacation intended for friends in this community, at the Wingham Hospital instead, was able to start the long journey to her home in distant Mississippi last week, ac- companied by her husband, Rev. L. C. Jorgensen, and small son, David. Morris Council Opposes Deer Hunt The Morris Council met in the TownShip Hall on Sept. 4th., with all the members present. The minutes of the last meeting and special meeting were read and adopted on motion of Sam Akock and Wm. Peacock. Moved by Sam Alcook, seconded by Chas. Coulees that the following reso- lution be passed and sent to the De- partment of Game and Fisheries pro- hibiting the open season for hunting deer in Morris 'i ownship. Resolution: Whereas the council or the Town- ship of Morris feel that an open sea- son in the township would be very dangerous for the residents and their livestock as the hunters use high powered rifles; Lad whereas the Council do not feel that the deer are overplentiful in the township; 'ihevefore be it resolved by the Council of the Township of Morris that there should not be an open season for the hunting of deer in the said Township of Morris, 'Moved by Chas, Coultes, seconded by Alcoelc that the following re- solution be passed and sent to the Federation of Agriculture to try to get adequate insurance for the pro- teetion of the cattle owner in regard to warble fly spraying.
