The regular meeting of the United Church Woman's Missionary Society was held at the home of Mrs. Harry Ferguson, on Thursday evening, August 9th, The Theme of the meet- ing was "God Speaks to Me," The Programme committee was, Mrs. Thornton, Mrs. F, Ashton, Mrs. Rota Carson and Mrs. E. Bradnock, the latter being convener. The devotional programme was made very effective by various readings given by members under such headings as "God Speaks to Me through Leisure", God Speaks to Me through My Neighbours", etc. An interesting item on the programme was the story of Miss Caroline Mc- Donald "The White Angel of Japan", as told by the guest speaker, Mrs. Elizabeth Armstrong, who knew Miss McDonald personally and there- clothes, blankets, heavy winter coats, etc., will be packed early in September for Overseas-Relief, The co-operation of all the ladies in the congregation in this _project will be very much ap- preciated The United Church manse, Clifford was the setting of very quiet but pretty wedding, Saturday, Aug. 11, when Rev.
