Wrist Broken
While competing in the running
high jump at the school field day on
Friday, Margaret McNeill, of For-
dyce School, had the misfortune to
fall, injuring her left wrist. X-ray
examination at the Wingham Hos-
pital revealed a fracture and it was
put in a cast.

Huron District annual meeting of the
Women's Institute held in Lucknow
on Thursday.
Parents' Day
Parents' Day, which has become an
annual event much enjoyed by the
ladies of the St. Helen's school sec-
tion, was observed at the school on
Wednesday afternoon. There was a
large attendance to enjoy the 140-
gram presented by the pupils with
Mr. Baxter, musical instructor as ac-
companist. Marian McDonald, as
chairman, welcomed the guests and
announced the following numbers,
choruses, "Bless this House" "All
Things Bright and Beautiful," "Jesus
Bids Us Shine" and "The Children's
Prayer"; instrumentals by Eddie
Gaunt, Joyce McDonald, Donna
Woods, Isabelle MacPherson, Alison

The Annual Horne Helper's meet-
ing of the Presbyterian Church was
held at the home of Mrs. Arthur Hall
