"I just had to call you and tell you the
good news."
It's a big event for us too -- and it is
taking place in homes and °firm, in cities
and villages every day—bringing more
and better telephone service to more and
more people.
In the past five years we've connected over
one and a half million telephones to meet
new requests for service. We've added
well over two million miles of wire to
carry the ever growing volume of local
and Long. Distance calls.
In fact we've packed as much growth into
the past five years as we did in the first
fifty years of our history.
We're going right on with the Job, If you
haven't service, we want you to know
we're working at it. Your'place on the list
is being protected and your telephone will
be installed just as soon as possible.
