The third meeting of the Corrie
Guards was held at Helen Strong's
home on Tuesday, April 17th., at 8.15
p.m. There were six girls and the
assistant leader present, Girls were
shown how to test the water for
drinking. Notes were given on invis-
ible enemies, what they are and how
to fight them, first aid and burns
and their treatment.

Community Club Elects Officers
A "Family Night" for the commun-
ity was held in the hail on Friday
evening. Euchre was enjoyed, prises
being won by Mrs, Harry Hastie and
Gordon Underwood. Crokinole and

while the youngsters had a lively
time with games under the direction
of Rev, Douglas Vogan assisted by
Tom Edgar. The president of the

is retiring after two years efficient

Stinson and Annie Burns and was
born in Qorrie 'in March 1880. His
early life was spent in Gerrie. He
spent a number of years in the West,
and for the last ten years he resided
in Woodstock,
