Mr, and Mrs, Angus MacDonald
and son, have been helping at the
home of his parents, Mr, and Mrs,
Donald MacDonald, St. Helens, since
his father took a heavy stroke on
Wednesday evening.
The regular March meeting *of the
Women's Institute will be held in the
Memorial Hall here this Thursday
afternoon, when Rev. R. D, A. Currie
will be the special speaker. You are
cordially invited to attend.
Miss Grace Moir is spending this
week of holidays with Toronto relae

Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher were
in London on Saturday, where they
attended the Carruthers - Stothers
wedding in Colborne Street United
Church.
Miss Patsy Anderson, teacher of S.
S. No. 10, Kinloss, is holidaying at
her home at Belgrave.
Mr, Jas, Richardson motored to
Toronto on Friday and spent the
week-end there,
Mrs. Robert Watson of Brucefield,
has been visiting for a few days, over
the week-end at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Melville Beecroft.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Coyne and
baby, Sharon of Windsor, spent the
week-end with Mr. and Mrs, Mason
Robinson and Belgrave relatives, and
visited with her father, Mr. Thomas
Robinson in Wingham Hospital.
Mr, and Mrs. Lloyd Mason of Lis-
towel, spent Sunday at the home of
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mas-
on.
Mr, and Mrs. Roy Robinson and
son, spent Sunday with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Humphrey of
Lucknow.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Inglis and family
family are moving this week to their
new home in Straftord, and he com-
mences work there at once, with his
ditching machine.
Mrs. Orville Mitchell, Eleanore and
Gordon, left on Saturday to spend a
week in Toronto, with her mother,
Mrs. Brown and other relatives there.

with a good programme and dance, to
be held this Friday evening in the
Community Hall,
Miss Doris Shiell returned to her
work at the Wingham Co-Op. on
Monday and Mrs. Shiell is able to be
up and around the house again.
Mrs, Cecil Coultes of E. Wawanosh,
is recovering from a three weeks' ill-
ness with flu.
Miss Eleanore Wightman left on
Friday to holiday with friends in Tor-
onto and Miss Joan Wightman is vis-
iting with her grandparents, Mr, and
Mrs. Emerson Vipond at Atwood.
Mrs. Keating and Mr. Harold Keat-
ing of Morris, spent Sunday at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley
Snell.
Mr. John Siddle of Walkerton, re-
turned home with his daughter, mis.
Gorrie Moves
To Final Round
Gorrie Intermediates advanced to
the finals here Friday night edging
the Ilderton squad 4-3 before a capac-
ity crowd. With the series knotted at
one game each the crucial contest was
a bang up affair from start to finish
with King between the pipes for Gor-
rie turning• in a stellar performance.
Parrish scored the clincher in the
third period for Gurrie on a pass from
H. McMichael at the 3.55 mark, Ilder-
ton pressed hard in the final stanza for
the equalizer. even resorting to pulling
their goalie short of tying the score
Gorrie meets Poole for the
Intermediate "C" W.O.A.A. crown.

on life, who were present, .then as
always at Calvary. The united choirs
sang "Oh, Love that Will Not Let
Me Go," and a mixed quartette sang,
"Must Jesus Bear the Cross Alone?"

Farm Forum
Whitechurch Farm Forum wound
up the winter's meetings on Monday
evening with a social in the hall, with
members of Alps Forum as guests.
After listening to the last broadcast,
Reeve J. D. Beecroft acted as chair-
man for a short program. A group of
Cuiross children, with their teddy-
bears sang "The Teddy Bear Song,"
Mrs. John Burchill and Mrs. J. D.
Beecroft, gave readings, and a mixed
quartette sang two numbers, "Afton
Currie gave some interesting com-
ments on the Forum meetings and
Aldin Pardon, president of E. Wawa-
nosh Federation introduced the speak-
er, Lloyd. Jasper, president of Bruce
Federation of Agriculture. who gave
a humorous address, stressing the dif-
ferent ways in which the Federation
benefitted the farmers of Ontario, by
negotiating with processors, and get-
ting- contracts for produce, He was

Goes to Gorrie
Gorrie Intermediates evened their
best two out of three series here a
week Tuesday night upsetting Ilder-
ton 8-5. This was the second game of
the intermediate "C" W.O.A..A.
semi-finals. Trailing' 3-1 at the end
of the first period, the Gorrie boys
tied the count in the second and
slapped home four counters in the
third to even the series.

pital, London, by ambulance. and he
and his family returned to Peterber
migh on Monday. Mrs, Scott has been
paralyzed ,in the left arm and foot
for almost -a year and went for treat-
ment,
Mr. Elroy Laidlaw is a victim of
the fin this week.
Rev, and Mrs. Graydon Cox and
daughters, of Fonthill, spent a few
days this week at the home of her
mother, Mrs. Mac Ross, and Mrs.
Ross, who has been ill with flu for
the past two weeks, accompanied them
back to Foothill on Wednesday.
The reception for M. amid Mrs.
Harold Finlay, which was postponed
several weeks ago, will be held this
Thursday evening in the Memorial
Hall here.
