es of sliced tenderized. ham, four or
five times. Lay slices on broiling
rack or pall; meantime heat top oven
element about 5 minutes, then place
in oven with top of food three inches
below hot element, Broil 10 minutes
then turn and broil 5 minutes.
Mrs. R. P. asks: Can a "picnic"
cut of meat be baked like a ham? If
so do you use water?
Answer: Picnic style ham may be
baked. Place fat side up, In an open
pan. Use no water. A 4 lb. ham re-
quires 21/2 hours in a preheated electric
oven of 350 degrees. Remove the skin
at end of 2 hour cooking; sprinkle
with brown sugar or honey then re-
turn to oven for another 1/2 hour.
,Mrs. F, N. asks: How do you make
Sour Cream gravy?
Answer: Pan fry 1i4 cooked onion.
Ci mbine 2 tbsps. floor with 112 cup
water, 1 cup sour cream. and 1 beaten
egg. Stir mix into fried onion.
