' Telephone 37 for Appointment. •-• An Essay Competition To help create au interest among boys and girls the British and Foreign Bible Society is sponsording an essay competition among students in Can- adian secondary schools and Sunday chools (15 to 17 years of age). Par- ticipants are asked to write an essay of from 1500 to 2000 words in length. on either, "Why a Knowledge of the Bible is a Necessary Part of a Sound Education" or "What the Bible has Done fur Human Progress." The competition has been organized. on a provincial basis. Three prizes will be awarded in every province, the first, $50.00; ;the second, $25.00; the third, $15.00. There will also be a Dominion prize of $100,00 awarded to the writ- er of the best essay among the pro- vincial prize winners.
