President Lome Hunking wei- comec all The minutes of the last meeting were read by secretary Estella Adams. Thank you notes from June Fothergill and Russell Good were read. Roll call was answered with 19 present. An invitation to Blyth Swinging Sen- iorson March 26 was read. The treasurer's report was read by Hazel Reid E’ght games of euchre were played. The winners were: ladies’ high Margaret Taylor- lone . ands, Audrey Thompson -low. Estella Adams; men’s high, Addie Hunking (playing as a man); lone hands, Les Reid; and low, Ted Fothergill. Greeting on Sunday morning at the United Church were Rev. Snihur and Gordon Shobbrook. The ushers were Stanley Airdrie, Kevin Wright, Gerbin and Dennis Wilts. Rev. Snihurwelcomedall and gave the call to worship and the announcements. On February 6 the youth group will meet at the school. On February 16 the hymn sing time will take place from 10:50 to 11:50 a.m. prior to church. On February 23 dedication of the electric organ will take place. On February 9, Rev. Siebrand Wilts will be leading our worship as Rev Snihur will be preaching in his home church in Owen Sound. The children's time was “Grow in God’ Junior teachers were Tracy Salverda and Denise Hulle' . The anthem was sung with Lisa Duiz.er as pianist and Marsha Szusz as choir director. The scripture lesson sermon was “Naa Man a leper comes clean". Sweetheart Special FORTHEMONTHOF FEBRUARY VHS TAPES A draw donated by Clare Vincent was won by Lome Hunking. Lunch was served by Vietta Hoggart and Margaret Taylor. In charge were Hazel Reid and Dora Shobbrook. The next card party will be held in two weeks on February 14. Shuffleboard £ results On January 29 there were 10 present for shuffleboard. The winner of three games was Audrey . Thompson. .Shuffleboard will be held at the same place and time on February 5. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Shaddick spent the weekend with Jeff and Karin Shaddick, Danny, Steven and Krystal in Kitchener Weekend visitors with Mr and Mrs. Bob Thompson were Ray and Beth Radford, London: John and Jncla Lawrie, Rob and Jennifer, Kitchener and Audrey’s uncle. Mr. and Mrs Norman Horne, Palmerston. Miss Pat Stackhouse of Wood- stock spent a couple of days last week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Vic Stackhouse and Mark. On Sunday Kevin and Sherri Pfaff, Dean, Shaneand Jem Mae of Huron Park visited with her parentsMr and Mrs. Vic Stack­ house.
