The Mission Band held their'Xmas
meeting on Sunday afternoon with it
good attendance, The meeting opened
by repeating the members purpose.
The scripture lesson was read from
Luke 2: 8-14, by Gerald McDowell.
Prayer by Mrs. Howard Campbell;
reading by Lois Campbell; Study.
Book was taken. by Mrs. Chas, Smith.
The Roll Call was palled by Gwendol-
yri McDowell, reading by Ronald
Snell. Responsive reading led by Ruth
Cook on "Why We Hold Christmas."
The election of officers was in charge
of -Mrs. Howard Campbell. President,
Donna Walden; Vice-President, Lois
Campbell; Secretary, Ruth Cook; As-
sistant Sec'y., Gwendolyn McDowell;
Treasurer, Barbara Smith, The meet-
ing closed with prayer by Mrs, C.
Smith.
A shower of Christmas gifts ,vere
brought in by the Mission Band
meMbers and will be sent to head-
quarters at Toronto.
Mr. James Ireland of Saskatoon,
visited last week with Mr. and Mrs,
Charles Smith and other friends.
Mr. A. E. Cook of Blyth, visited on
Sunday with Mrs. Fred Cook and
family.
Mr, and Mrs. R. Vincent, Mr, and
Mrs, Dan MacKenzie, of Blyth, visit-
ed on Saturday with Mr, and Mrs.

United Church, held a successful tea
and Christmas bazaar when more than
