noon, from the family residence, in
Howick Township and in Fordwich
United Church. Rev. Stewart Miner
was assisted by Rev. A. M. Schlenker
of Clifford, Interment was in Clifford
cemetery, Pallbearers were Thomas
Porterfield, Frank McKenzie, Edgar.

Farm Forum Rally
iR Farm Forum Rally was held in
-the Forester's Hall, on Monday, Nov.
21st., with a large crowd attending
front North Huron, and Bruce 'For-
ums.
Robert McMillan of Clinton, County
Chairman of the farm forum commit-
*le presided. In his remarks he stated
that the "Theme for the farm forum
programmes this year was Publicity.
He gave suggestions for the forums
and said help may be obtained by
writing the head office in Toronto.

the unit has been operating since July
1st., with a staff consisting of himself
as full time doctor, six full time nurs-
es, two full time sanitary inspectors,
one veterinary and two stenographers.
Credit was given the Women's Instit-
ute in uging the foundation of the heal-
th centre. The functions of the centre
are to compile statistics, immunization,
enviroment inspections of water sup-
plies, restaurants, etc, counselling ex-
pectant mothers and care of babies and
adult education. The financing of the
unit amounts to $1.15 a person with a
half paid by the provihce.
The proportion of money used for
prevention of sickness is much small-
er than is used for treatment. This is
the 26th health unit to go into opera-
tion.
Cecil Falconer moved a vote of
thanks to the speaker. Others contrib-
uting to the program were: Audrey
Bradburn leading in community sing-
ing with M. Bradburn at titLY
piano, a piano duet by George and
Ruth Procter, solo, Mrs. Jack Wick-
stead accompanied by Mrs. 3. M. Conf.
tes, a reading, Mrs. Stanley Cook, and
a vocal duet by Audrey and Ruth
Bradburn, accompanied by Mrs. Brad-
burn at the piano. Mr. McMillan con-
ducted a questionairre.
Dick Procter, chairman of the pro,.
gramme welcomed the visitors to the
meeting and David Ireland moved a
vote of thanks on behalf of the guests.
Refreshments were served and a
social hour spent.

Federation made announcements of
the annual meeting of the Morris Fed-
eration in Belgrave, Wednesday, Nov.
23rd, the county emeting in Clinton,
Tuesday, Nov, 29th,, the annual meet-
ing of the Provincial meeting in Tor-
onto, Jan. 10-13, and of the short
course held at the O.A.C. Crristmas
week. Bob Carbert of CKNX was
present and was invited to speak. Mr.
Carbert asked the secretaries to send
their reports to him and he would be
glad to use them on his programme.
Mr, Vic Roy of Londesboron, intro-
duced the guest speaker. Dr. R. M.
Aldis of the Huron Health Unit which
is located in Clinton. Dr. Aldis said
