The regular monthly meeting of the
Brick Church W.M.S. was held on
Wednesday last at the home of Mrs.
Ronald Coulter, with a good attend-
ance, and with Mrs. Allan Pattison
group in charge of the program, Miss
Dorothy Pattison presided. Mrs, Roy

which had existed at all the meetings.

Mrs. Leslie Greenaway was named
president; Mrs, Bill Mundell, sec,-
treas,, and Mrs. W. If. :McKinney, the
assistant, A leader was appointed for
each month who will arrange the pro-
gramme and conduct the meeting. Two
quilts were completed and are ready
for sale, The newly elected president,
conducted the closing items of busi-
ness and Mrs. L. C. Jorgensen closed
the meeting with prayer, Mrs, Gordon
Mundell, Mrs. Eldred Nichol and Mrs.
Raymond Elliott served lunch,
Open Night At School
Open night was enjoyed at the
school this week, The Enterprise,
"The HurOn Tract" featured Art and
Craft work done by Grades 5 to 8 in
the form of posters, Indian mash's,
Tepee and palisaded villages in mini-
ature. Numerous maps in coloured
paper; wall displays of Indian and E.
pioneer culture, bench displays of
history of roads and railroads. An
actual display of pioneer tools includ-
ing muzzle-loader guns and a candle
burning lantern. The f ollowing
demonstrations were given by the
pupils, Indian methods of making fire;
Indian witch doctor treating a patient;
a green corn dance and a pioneer
square dance. The following pupils
conducted the numerous visitors
around the classroom and explained

Mrs. Harvey Robertson opened her
home this week for the monthly meet-
ing of the Morris Group of the Ladies'
Aicl of Knox Presbyterian Church.
The president, Mrs. Reid Elston pre-
sided. The scripture message was
read by Mrs. Roy Sellers and Mrs.
Walter Smillie led in prayer. There
f were eight members present. Mrs. Roy
Turvey conducted the election of offic-
ers. Mrs. Bill Elston was reelected
president and Mrs. Bernard Thomas
secretary-treasurer. The meeting de-
cided to carry on next year in the
same, group system. During the
afternoon lunch was served by Mrs.
Robertson.
At the morning service at Knox
Church was conducted by the Y.P.U.
Presbyterian Church, Rev. Leland C.
Jorgensen preached from the text Acts
4:12. There is none other name ender
