COUNCIL
The Council met ,Nov. 1st,, at 1
o'clock with all members present _ex-
cept .Councillors Campbell and Mc-
Gowan, the Reeve presiding, minutes
of October 4tb meeting were read and
adopted on motion by Robertson sec-
onded by Taylor. Carried,
Letters were read from The Ad-
vance Times, The 13e11 Telephone co,,
The Workmen's Compensation Board,
Mr. R. C, McGowan was present
requesting that the open portion of the
Toll Municipal Drain be cleaned out,
Councillor Taylor was instructed to
look after this work and have it done,
if possible.
At 2 o'clock the Court of Revision
on the Assessment Roll for 1950 was
opened, the Council subscribing to the
necessary oath, there being no appeals,
after some changes of ownership, on
several properties were made, it was
moved by Taylor seconded by Robert-
son that the Court of ‘Revision be
closed and the Assessor be paid his
salary, $200.00, Carried.
Mr. Morris Rosman was prersent
with a request for damages done to
his car on sideroad between Lots 39
and 40, Con. 8, the Clerk was instruct-
ed to notify the Insurance Company
at Stratford, Mr. Bruce Sully of the
Dominion Road Machinery Co., Gode-
rich, discussed the cost of some re-
pairs on the grader with the Council,
he promised there would be some ad-
justments made. Messrs. Sturdy and
Asquith of Auburn were present re-
questing a?.1rant for the Auburn Com-
munity Hall, the council laid .this
matter over until the council were all
present.
Moved by Taylor seconded by Rob-
ertson that the Road and General Ac-
counts as presented be passed and
paid. Carried.
Move d by Beecroft, seconded by
Robertson that the cheque withheld
the last meeting to the Dominion Road
Machinery Co., be released. Carried.
