Blyth relatives. Mrs. Johnson formerly
was the daughter of Mr. John John-
son of Morris, and it is over fifty
yeats since she left this country. They
left to motor to California on their
way home to B.C.

Bushfield's be cleaned up and gravel-

Coun. Rintoul reported for the
Property Committee that a surveys of
interested ratepayers and tenants in
the Hillcrest Area had no objection to
the issue of a gas pump permit to Mr.
Burden.
Moved by Conn. Rintoul, seconded
by Coun. Campbell that we recom-
mend that 'a permit for gas pumps be
granted to Mr. H. B. Burden. Carried.
It was agreed that the Clerk write
Mr. Burden of this decision of Council
and also notify the Department of
Highways that Council' recommends
the issue of a permit.
Moved by Coun. Clark seconded
by Coon. Rintoul that we secure six
signs "Speed Limit 30 M.P.H. strict-
ly enforced" for erection at the en-
trances of Town. Carried.

by Coun. Carmichael, that we have
the Town Solicitor draw up°a By-Law
under the Planning and Development
Act. Carried.
Moved by Reeve Johnson, seconded
by Coun. Campbell that the following
be the members of the Court of Re-
vision for this year. Mayor Reavie,
Couns. Rintoul, Gurney, Carmichael
and Welwood, Carried.
Reference to the sickness of Mr.
Wm. McCool was made. Moved by
Coon, Carmichael, seconded by Coun.
Rintoul that we send a card and suit-
able token to Mr. McCool and advise
him that he was missed at the Council
meeting. Carried.
Coun. Carmichael drew attention to
the condition of the curbing near the
Hydro Shop corner. The sidewalk at
the Curling Club was discussed.
Conn. Welwood brought up the
matter of observance of the provis-
ions of the closing By-Law on Satur-
day nights. The By-law provides for
closing at 10 p.m. every Saturday
night for the months of October
through to the end of March. Coun.
Welwood felt that this was not being
strictly adhered to in many cases and
since it was a By-Law of the, Town
and in force, it should be properly
carried out. Council interviewed Chief
