Mr A, D. Smith with a number of
veterans. from Wingham attended a
meeting of District (2, of the Canadian
Legion in London on Sunday morning.
In the afternoon a Drumhead service
was held in connection with the open-
ing of a new wing at Westminster
Hospital by the Honorable M. F.
Gregg V, C., Minister of Veterans'
Affairs,
Mr. James McFalls and son, Rev,
Silas McFalls of London, and Mrs.
Alex McFalls of Exeter, spent Sunday
with Mr, and Mrs. James Peacock.
They were former residents of Morris
Township near Jamestown,
Miss Mae Davidson, of Wroxeter,
spent a few days with her brother,
Walter and Mrs, Davidson,
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mundell, Ian
and Hugh, spent Sunday with Mrs.
Mundell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doig,
and attended the Anniversary services
in the Presbyterian Church at Moles-
Mr, and Mrs. Walsh, Mrs. Jennie
Brown and Mrs, Margaret Young,
Toronto, visited their cousin, Miss
Mabel Coultes and called on other
friends.

United Church Mission Band
The Mission Band met in the Sun-
day School MOM of the U, Church,
with the president, Etoille Moffatt
pregiding, After singing "Jesus loves
the little children" and the Mission
Band Purpose, all joined in repeating
The Lord's Prayer and the prayer for
Missionaries. Mrs. W. J. Johnston led
the worship service opening with the
hymn "Glory to God, for His Sun-
shine- is Free." Patsy Taylor received
the offering and birthday greetings
were sung for Susan Sellers. Miss
Margaret Curtis told the story of two
Chinese children that had been taken
prisoners and put into a cave. They
were able to make their escape
through courage and trust in God.
Bride and Groom Honoured
Hugh Campbell and his bride, the
former Miss Mary Bradshaw, have
moved into the Kerney house recently
vacated by Mr, and Mrs. Riley and
family, who have moved to Wingham,
Mr. and Mrs. Campbell were the.
guests of honor at a largely attended
:social gathering in the Community
Hall on Friday night, when Billy Ad-
ams read an address and a presenta-
tion was made followed by lunch and
dancing.

Vancouver, are visiting the former's
sister, Mrs. Wm, McVittie and Mr.
McVittie,
Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Taylor, Mr.

on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ches-
ter Taylor of St. Helens.
Mr. and Mrs, Gordon Snell, Mr.
Jasper Snell and Miss Janetta, visited
on Sunday with Mrs. Chas. Keating
of Morris. Township.

Blyth, visited on Sunday with Mr,
and Mrs. Donald Snell.

Blyth, 'visited on Sunday afternoon

'Misses Eileen Taylor and Violet
Cook are attending a sewing clash in
Goderich.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Camfibell,
Mrs, Frank Campbell and Miss Win-
nifred, Mrs. J. E. Ford, visited on
Sunday evening with Mrs. John Fea-
gan and Mrs. James Hoover at Nile.
A number from the vicinity gave
what assistance they could at the fire
at Gordon Taylor's Store at Auburn,
on Sunday morning.
The Mission Band met on Sunday
afternoon in . the school room with a
fair attendance. The. meeting Ipened
by repeating the members purpose.
The scripture lesson was read by Lois
Campbell, from Luke 10, 29-37. Read-
ings were given by John Buchanan
.and Donna Walden. The Study Book
was given by Mrs. Chas. Smith. The
minutes of the last meeting were read
and approved. The roll was called.
The story was told by Mrs Norman
McDowell. The meeting closed with
the benediction.
Wheelsman Ronald Taylor:- of the
Nelvana Yacht, is visiting his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Taylor.
