time last week with Mrs, Sam Doug-
las, who continues to be seriously ill
at the home of her daughter, near
Mr. and Mrs, Arthur Chapman vis-
ited with Mr. awl Mrs. Wes, Hill,
Moorefield, on Sunday.
The Trail Rangers will meet in the
S. S, room of the United Church on
Wednesday evening. All boys between
the ages of 12 to 17 are invited to)
attend.
Mr. and Mrs. C, O'Krafka and Mar-
ie, spent Sunday with relatives in
Blair and Hespeler.
Mr, and Mrs, Wm. Ford and fam-
ily, attended Anniversary services on
Sunday -at Hampden United Church,
near Hanover.
Mrs, Alex Corrigan of Blucvale,
called on Mrs, Mabel Stewart on Sat-
urday.'

Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Vic Shera
at Moorefield,

Newbridge United - Church will ,hold
Golden Jubilee Services on Sunday
Sept. 18th, at 11 a.m. and 7,80 p.m.
Rev. 5, Harold Johnston, Mitchell, a
former Howick boy will be guest
speaker. A special invitation is ex,-
tended to any who attended the ser-
vices 50 years ago. The ladies of the
congregation are serving a supper on
Tuesday evening followed by a play.
The Women's Auxiliary of Trinity
Church held their regular monthly
meeting, in the church basement on
Thursday afternoon, when they had as
their guests, members of the W. A.
of St. Stephens Church, Gorrie, Mrs.
Emerson i-Iargreave the President,
preided for the opening exercises. Rev.
J. C. Caley gave a talk telling of his
recent trip to the Isle of Man, also to
England and Ireland, and showed pic-
tures taken with a movie camera, At
the close Fordwich ladies served a
delicious lunch and a social time was
enjoyed by all.
On Sunday morning, Sept. 4th, an
impressive service was held in lite
United Church, when a baptismal font
was dedicated in memory of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Adam Hutchison, life-
long members of the. congregation,

Mrs. Robt. Walker's home and will
get possession next month, Mr. N. T.
Cook of Clifford has also purchased
Mrs, Walker's property on Main St.,
where Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Marshall
have resided.
Mrs. A. Thornton and Mr, Robt.
Gathers also Mrs. Austin Hawthorne
of Listowel, were guests at the Mof-
fat-Brandon wedding at Leaside Un-
ited Church. They accompanied Mr.
and Mrs. Thos. Stokes of Belmore.
