Mr. and Mrs, George. Kerr of, E.
Wawanosh attended the funeral of the
late Mr, Alexander Jubinville at Til-
bury on Thursday, and also visited at
the home of their daughter, Mrs. Alan
Garniss of London.
Mr, and Mrs. Peter Rotteau and
baby, Teddy of London, spent the
week-end with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Walters- of Culross.
Mr. Robert Hutchison has had his
barn and other farm buildngs painted
red during the past week, It is quite
an improvement,
Mr, and Mrs, Lorne Johnston, Mr.
and Mrs. Carman Farrier, who spent
the past week in Parry Sound, return-
ed home on Sunday. Miss Winnifred
Farrier, who also accompanied_ them,
returned to Toronto on Friday to join
a party of friends, who were motoring
down the St. Lawrence as far as Gaspe
Peninsula,
Mr, and Mrs. Cornell King, Wanda
and David of Waterford, spent Wed-
nesday at the home of their aunt, Mrs.
Robt. • McClenaghan, on their way
home from a holiday spent in Mani-
toulin Islands.
Born—On Thursday, August 11th,
to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McClena-
ghan, of Kinloss, a daughter, Beatrice
Joyce.
Mrs. Chas. Moore and her little son
arrived home from Wingham Hospital
on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. J, K. Shook of Tor-
onto,. and Miss Nettie Sharpe of Ham-
ilton, have been recent visitors at the
home of Mrs. A, Fox.
Recent visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. George Phillips of W, Wa-
wanosh are, Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Lintz and son, George of Oxford,
Mr. Jas. Phillips of London,
Mrs. James Reid of Brussels. Mr. and
Mrs. Phillips and Mrs, Elmer Foran
were in Oxford attending the Ruther-
ford reunion and Mr. and Mrs. Rus-
sell Phillips spent Sunday last with
herfather, Mr, Fred Bell of Goderich.
Miss Olive Currie of San Francisco,
has been visiting for a few weeks at
the home of her brother, Mr, Jas. Cur-
rie, Her sister, Mrs. Mary Galbraith,
of Detroit, had been visiting her in
San Francisco and they returned home
by Vancouver, visiting relatives in
Moose Jaw, Winnipeg and Toronto.
At the Baptismal service held in
the Presbyterian Church on Sunday,
the following babies were baptized,
Edna Marie Wall, daughter of Mr,
and Mrs. Ira Wall; Brian Keith, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rintoul, Allan
Lloyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Angus
Falconer, and at Calvin Church, Ron-
ald Kenneth, son of Mr. an Mrs.
Gordon McBurney, and James Alexan-
der, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Rob-
ertson.,
Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Henry of Bel-
fast and Mrs. Jas. Curran and child-
] ren of W. Wawanosh, visited. on Sun-
day with the latter's sister, Mrs. Floyd
Bott and Mr. Bc.)tt, of Belwood.
Little Joan Rintoul, only daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John Rioted of Tor-
onto, is in Toronto Hospital a sufferer
of polio, and Moore relatives received
word last week that the twenty-month
old daughter, Carol, of M r.and Mrs.
Russell Moore of Preston, is in Ham-
ilton, suffering from polio.
Mrs. Robert Adams, Andrea and
Caroline, spent a few, clays las't week
at the home of her blather, Mr. Jack
Inglis of London.
Mr. and Mrs. D. A. McaLean and
her brother, Mr. Allan Nelson of Un-
derwood in North Bruce, spen't Sun-
clay at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Al-
bert Coul.tes.

Wingham General Hospital on Satur-
day to nurse Mrs, Harry Perdue of
Belgrave, who is scriousry ill thed

the Wingham General Hospital, to
Mr, and Mrs, Robert Henderson of
Kinloss, a son.
Mrs, Marks, who has been visiting
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Gil-
lespie, left on Tuesday to visit with
friends in Toronto.
A beautiful basket of gladioli was
placed in the front of the United
Church here on Sunday, by the Gil-
lespie famly, in remembrance of the
late Mr. and Mrs, John Gillespie,
Miss Myrtle Yuill left from St,
Catharines last week with a group of
girls, who will be in Miss Yuill's care
for the next three weeks at Wasaga
Beach,
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee of Tor-
onto, spent the week-end with Rintoul
relatives in this district, and their son,
Harry, who had been holidaying with
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cameron,' Ash-
field, returned home with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Earle Holmes and his
sister, Mrs. Scott of Detroit, visited
at the home of Mr. and !Mrs. Amos
Cornelius on Sunday. The Holmes
family formerly lived on that farm.
Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius visited on
Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Harvey
Steele of Lanes.
Mr. and Mrs. David Currie of Wing-
ham, who have been visiting with Mr.
and Mrs. Eric Elliott at Bruce Beach
for two weeks, and all visited on Sat-
clay with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gaunt,
Mrs. George Fisher and her baby,
Sandra Jean, returned home from
Wingham Hospital on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert McQuillan are
spending some weeks at the Campbell
cottage at the Lighthouse.
