Westinghouse Polyphonic Reproduction and the Automatic R450 Record Changer make a The Perfect Combination 4r11111011110 .6R tJ No matter how excellent the recordings . . . how superb the tone arm . . . a record player is only as good as the output circuit that delivers the sound at the speaker. The new Westinghouse R450 Rec- ord Changer, if it were not teamed up with exclus- ive Westinghouse POLYPHONIC Reproduction, would simply offer new changer speed and effici- ency without the benefit of amazingly increased tonal perfection. The revolutionary new record changer is now available in perfect combination with a line of Westinghouse POLYPHONIC Radios at a price far below any radio-phonograph that might approach comparable standards of tonal beauty and convenience. The Fastest Record Changer in the world The new Westinghouse R450 Automatic Record Changer is designed to play the instantly popular seven-inch Victor groove records that turn at 45 r.p.m. instead of the usual 78 r.p.m., allowing for more music to be recorded in a shorter length of groove. There is virtually little or no surface noise present during play, due to the extreme lightness of the tone arm (5 grams) and the guarded sapphire tip Permanent Needle. The Westinghouse R450 will play up to Fifty minutes of uninterriupted re- corded music with scarcely preceptible changer action. Its extreme simplicity makes it trouble- free and trigger-fast. Only half the size of ordin- ary record changers, the Westinghouse R450 requires the minimum of radio-top space.
