Mission Band
Mrs. A, Munro took charge of ,the
chapter of the Study Book Watch
Goat Boy when members of the Buds
of Promise Mission Band held their
June' meeting in the church school-
room on Monday evening. Winnifred
Munro president, presided and Donna
MacLean presented the minutes. The.
meeting opened with the hymn Jesus
Bids Us Shine, All repeated the pur-
pose and the Lord's Prayer. 20 mem-
bers responded to the Roll Call.
There was some discussion re the
annual picnic. John 'Magee received
the offering. Carol Newton favored
with a solo. Jesus Loves Me. The
hymn When He Cometh and Mizpah
benediction brought the meeting 'to a
close.
Women's Association
Sixteen members attended the June
meeting of tthe Women's Association
held in the United Church school-
room on Thursday afternoon. Presid-
ent, Mrs. Wm, Hart presided over
'the Devotional period and opened the

meeting with the hymn Jesus calls Us
Oler the TUmult, followed by the
Lord's Prayer, Mrs. Albert Gallaher
chose the 23rd. psalm for the scripture
ilesson. The Roll Call was . answered
!by naming a favorite hymn. Plans
(were made re laying hardwood floors
'in the Manse and committees set up
for the Shriners Banquet to he held
in Thursday of this week. Mrs. Cron-
hielm closed the meeting with prayer.
Mrs. McCuteheon and Mrs. Alex
'Wright were in charge of arrange-
merits and served pot luck supper fol-
lowing an afternoon of quilting.
Women's Institute
The July meeting of the Wroxeter
Branch of the Women's Institute will
be held at the home of Mrs. George
Lane on Wednesday, July 6th, at 2.30
p.m. Mottto. "Blessed is she Who by

West Huron Music Festival was
held in Wroxeter ,Town Hall on
Wednesday, June 15th. The 'morning
and afternoon sessions were well at-
tended, Nine schools were in the com-
;petition and their final standing was
'as follows. First, Gorrie school, Miss
Jean Spading and Mrs. MacDonald.
