confined to Clinton Hospital for some

confined to a London Hospital. His
friends are looking for a speedy re-

for Watford, We regret the removal
of this estimable family from our
midst.
The construction of a new Legion
Hall is rapidly being pushed ahead.
Incidentally Thursday, June 23rd.r is
the date of the annual Frolic, giant
fire works, then's soft ball game. the
Lions Girls and Boys Band will fur-
nish music. There will be a bicycle
given to the boy or girl holding the
lucky gate ticket, numerous games
and dancing.
Wingham Masonic Lodge Degree
team conferred the third degree
a candidate in Blyth Lodge on Ildsm-
day night. The work was well diza--
onstrated. There was over 40 Mascaras
in attendance and a splendid lintela
was served at the conclusion of lodge.

FAMILY RE-UNION
The nineteenth annual Squire-Jac-
ques Re-union was held in Water
Tower Park, Listowel, on Saturday,
Jnue 11th, with 95

tendance. Members were present from
London, Woodstock, Burgessville,
Clifford, Palmerston, Gorrie, Wrox-
eter, Orangeville and Monkton.
After a sumptuous dinner, Stewart
Jacques presided over a business per-
iod in which the following officers
were elected for the ensuing year.

2nd, Vice-Pres.—Wesley Under-
wood.
Sec.-Treas.—Lorna Radford.
Prizes were given to Donald Jac-
ques of Burgessville, who came the
farthest and to Marshall Jacques, the
oldest member present and to Ronnie
Harkness, for being the youngest, also
to Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Jacques for
being married the longest and to the
most recent newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs.
C. W. Hobbs, Monkton."
Various kinds of sports were enjoy-
ed during the afternoon and it was
decided to hold they next year's Re-
union again at Water Tower Park, at
Listowel, on the 2nd. Saturday of
June.
