In' an attractive setting of summer
flowers and ferns in Trinity Anglican
Church, Donna Jean VanCamp, daugh-
ter Of Ivir, and Mrs, William. V•411.•
Camp, Belgrave and Kenneth Arnold
Johnson, son of Mr ,and Mrs, Ger-
shon Johnson, Wingham, were united
in marriage, Rev,. G. Murray Wyatt,
Officiated at the ceremony; Miss Nora
VanCamp played soft bridal music and
accompanied the soloist, Miss Lilla
Taylor of Preston, who sang
Walk Beside You" and "My World",
Both accompanist and soloist were
aunts of the bride. •
The brirrk escorted into the church
by 'her father, was charming in a rad-
iant gowii"of off-shoulder neckline, ac-
cented with a sheer yoke, long lily-
point sleeves and a full skirt was gath-
ered in scallops held with tiny satin
bows to reveal a ruffled lace petticoat,
Her long veil of embroidered French
illusion was caught to a bandeau head-
dress, edged with• a ruffle and seed
pearls. She carried a Colonial Shower
Bouquet of Peerless red roses,
Miss Gladys Campbell was brides-
maid in a mauve satin gown with
matching bandeau headdress and mit-
tens and carried a cascade bouquet of
yellow Eliabeth roses ,
Miss Kay ,VanCamp, sister of the
bride, was flower girl and wore a
floor length gown of yellow taffeta
with matching headdress and mittens.
Her bouquet was a nosegay of Johan-
na hill roses.
James Johnston of Wingham, was
groomsman for his brother and usher-
ette's, Miss Verna Johnson gowned in
lime-green lace over satin and Miss
Elaine Walsh in yellow brocaded taf-
feta.
A reception at Hotel Brunswick
followed •the wedding, the mother of
the bride receiving in a gown of navy
with accents of fuschia and yellow
with navy accessories and wore a
corsage of yellow roses, The mother
of the groom chose . a floral crepe
gown with white accessories and cor-
sage of yellow roses.
For a wedding trip to Niagara Falls
and the United States, the bride wore
a pearl, grey gabardine suit with
matching hat and cherry wine acces-
sories and corsage of red roses, com-
pleted her ensemble.
Mr. and Mrs, Johnson will reside
near Wingham. V' •
Scott -- Lockridge
The marriage of Lois Ann, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lock-
ridge, to Harry Scott, son of Mrs:
Scott of Seaforth, and the late Harry
Rath Scott took Place quietly on Sat-
arday, June 4th, at St, Andrews Pres-
byterian Church ..Manse, with Rev. A.
Nimmo officiating. • .
For her wedding the bride wore a
graceful_ gown of turquoise blue silk
faille, made with saVcetheart neckline
and• she carried aaluagegay of - Amer-
ican Beauty roses;' and white stephan-
otis. Her matching net veil in bonnet
style, was tied under the chin. The
maid of honour, Miss Jean Adair, was
similarly gowned in pale rose: silk
faille with hat to match and she car-
ried a nosegay of yellaiw and white
roses. Mr', Donald Scott was grooms-
man for his brother. Iris and bridal
wreath and peonies decorated the
home of the bride's parents for the
reception, Mrs. Lockridge, mother of
the bride received the .guests dressed
in ,mist green mestil with a shoulder
corsage of sweet peas and roses, Mrs.
Scott, mother of the bridegroom, was
in navy blue and wore a corsage of
deep red roses. On their return from
a motor trip to the State of Michigan,
the bride and groom will reside in
Wingham.
Nieholtort - Hutchison
A quiet wedding was solemnized on
Saturday morning, June 4th, at 10,30
o'clock at' St. George's Anglican church
Goderich, when the rector, the Rev.
Beverly Farr, united in marriage Doris
Winnifred, only daughter of Mr, and
Mrs. John S. Hutchison, of White-
church, and Edwin James, elder son
of Mr, and Mrs. Wilmer Nicholson, of
Auburn. The bride‘wore, a pale blue
satin dress, with white accessories and
carried a bouquet of red roses and
maiden hair fern. They were unatten-
ded. The groom's gift to the bride
was a double strand of paerls. After
the ceremony a wedding dinner was
served to the guests at the Park House
Goderich, They will reside near Lon-
don. •

Sanderson Anger
A pretty summer wedding was sol-
emnized at the manse, Wroxeter, at
high noon on Saturday, June 4th, when
Rev, U.' E. Cronhieim united in mar-
riage Laura Elizabeth, daughter Of
Mrs, Anger and the late Mr. D. Ang-
er of Wroxeter, and Cecil Earl Sander-
son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sander-
son, R.R. 1, Bluevale,
The bride was lovely, gowned in
white satin with long sheer satin net
veil which . was fastened by a halo of
flowers, Her flowers were tea roses
l and lily of the valley, and she wore the
groom's gift, a gold locket. Her mat-
'on of honour was her sister, Mrs.
Mary Archer, who chose a floor length
gown of sky blue satni and shoulder
length veil held by a matching flower-
ed halo, She carried bouquet of
blending tulips and lily of the valley.

Miss Donna VanCamp bride-eleaf
of fine 4th, was honored when twenty
girl friends gathered at the home of
Miss Nora VauCarnp to shower her
with gifts.
Mrs. Wm. VanCamp entertained at
a trousseau last Wednesday evening
for her daughter, Donna, whose mar-
riage took place on Saturday. Mrs,
Taylor, grandmother of the bride-
elect poured tea at an attractively de-
corated tea table, Trousseau and wed-
ding gifts were displayed by Miss
Elaine Walsh and Miss Gladys Camp-
bell:
Mrs. Dave Murray, Wingham, aunt
of the bride, entertained the: bridal
party on Friday evening after rehear-
sal.
OBITUARY
Mrs. Wilson. Nicholson
The villige lost a highly respected
citizen on Saturday, May 28th, in the
passing of Frances Adela Jones, wid-
ow of the late Wilson Nicholson, at
the home of .her daughter, Mrs. David
Hutchison, Wingham, Ont,
The late Mrs. Nicholson was born
64 years ago in Guelph, the daughter
of John and Elizabeth Jones. In 1902
she was married to the late Franklyn
Hill Ross, who passed away in 1912,
To 'this union two daughters were
born, Lam-edith (Mrs, George Geall),
deceased, and Grace (Mrs. David
Hutchison), Wingham.
In 1913 she married Thomas Wil-
son Nicholson, who predeceased her
in 1948. To this Union were born five
children, June (Mrs. Ralph Schefter)

GORRIE
Mrs.• Reta Carson returned to her
home on Saturday after being a pat-
ient in the Listowel Memorial Hospi-
tal since the dreadful motor accident
on March 16th, which sent three Gor-
rie residents to hospital, Mr. Arthur
Stephens. is still confined to hospital.
The death of Jim Hunter on Monday a--
seems to the many listeners to his
news broadcast over CFRB like losing
a personal friend. r
Congratulations to Miss Eleanore
Carson, who has successfully complet-
ed her year at Toronto Normal School,
and has been granted her teacher's
certificate on her years work without
writing final exams. She is' spending
engaged on the Toronto

Bruce, Teeswater; Betty and Tommy,
deceased, There are 13 grandchildren
and one great grandchild.
The funeral was held on Monday
afternoon from the W. G. Church
Funeral Home. Rev. McKee of
Guelph, officiated. Interment took
place in Teeswater cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Messrs. A. Cer-
son, M. McKinnon, H. McKague, A.
Blair, A, Winters and C. Button.
Flower-bearers were: Dave and
Ralph Schefter, Torn and Bruce Gael],
grandchildren; Maitland and Douglas
Button, Gordon arson, Douglas
Schiestel and Ross McTavish,
Friends and relatives were present
from Guelph, Toronto, Brampton,
Owen Sound, Gorrie, Tottenham and
