Speaker •
Rev. Elmer Williamson, Toronto,
representative of Ontario Temperance
Federation, was the guest speaker at
the United Church on Sunday morn-
ing. "The Light of the World" 'was
his subject. He said the people of
the church had become soused to the
evils which lie all around they didn't
try to do anything about it. That is
why we have empty churches today.
We need the love of God in our hearts
before we see the need of our fellow-
men, In Temperance brings destruc-
tion. The people of the . Christian
Church could stop it if they were more
concerned and willing to give of their
time and money, We have our greatest
example to follow in Christ, who was
willing to suffer lonliness, weariness.
and to be crucified that all might be
redeemed, Rev, U. E. Cronhielm was
in charge of the service, The choir
