While working in the bush he was struck on the back of the head by a limb of a tree. He was able to get up by himself, but on his way home. started to hemorrhage from nose and cars from concussion. Mrs. Richard Chamney of Marnoch, spent a few days recently at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Baynes of Belton. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Slessor and family of Kincardine spent last Thurs- day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cook, Marnoch. Mr. Alex Kennedy of Winnipeg, spent .the week-end with his mother, Mrs. David Kennedy and other rela- tives here, Mr. and Mrs. Carmen Farrier of New Toronto and Miss Winnifred Farrier of Toronto, spent the week-. end at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W, R. Farrier, and Mrs. Milton Plunkett of Toronto accomp- anied them and will spend this week with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Lorne Johnston. Mr. and Mrs. John McBurney and. family of E. Wawanosh, spent Simday at the home of her brother, Mr. Don- ald Young, Lambeth. Her mother, Mrs. Jas. Young returned home from a six week's visit spent with Lambeth friends at Florida. Reeve Murray Johnson, Wingham. and Reeve J. D. Beecroft, attended Committee meetings in Goderich on Monday. The regular monthly meeting of the Women's Institute will be held on Tuesday next, March 8th, at the home of Mrs. J. F. McLean. The roll-call, "Why I am glad I am a Canadian." Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beecroft and children visited one day last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Watson, Brucefield. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Mason Robinson and children, spent the week-end at the home of his sister, Mrs. Jos. Thomp- son at Langton and with other Tilson- burg relatives. Many will be interested to know that Mrs. Wm. Robinson, formerly of E. WROXETER Anglican Church News ' St. James Anglican Church work- ers feel this past week has indeed been a very favorable one, in its history, when „two new organizations came to fulfillment, under the leadership of Rev. J. C. Caley and local church extension. Convener, Mrs. H. V. Mc- Kenney. On Tuesday evening last, about fifty people gathered in the church rooms when an A.Y.P.A. (Anglican Young People's Associa- tion) was formed. The meeting was called' to order with the hymn "Com- mand thy Blessings". Mrs. Lyle Bro- thers at the organ and the Lord's Prayer repeated* in unison. Rev. Cal- ey conducted the election of officers, which were as follows. Honorary Pre- sident, Rev. J. C. Caley; President, Mr. Jack Griffith; Vice-Pres., Mr. Glen. MoKercher; Sec,-Treas., Mrs. Ben Benntt; Pianist, Mrs. Glen Mc- Kercher. Committees: Worship, Ken Bennett, Eileen. MillvIrard; Work, Vera McKenney, Bus. Millward; Soc- ial Fellowship, Clark Sharpin; Edifi- cation, Mrs. Clark Sharpin, Rev. J. C. Caley. Refreshment committee, Maggie Griffith, Ila Paulin Margaret Morris. The new president took charge of the meeting and the secretary re- corded 20 members, During business session it was decided to make our meetings four fold, working under all committees and to meet in the church rooms, every Tuesday evening at 8.30 p,m, until further notice. Collection was received and social period ensued. Rev. Caley spoke briefly on the life life in the church young people's As- sociation. Topic, Worship, Work, Social and Edification. Come to church and get your face lifted and look out, look up, look forward, never downward, inward nor backward. The social period was enjoyed by all when the guessing contest "Name the Product" was won by 1st, Mrs. Millward; 2nd,, Mrs. J. Cavill, 3rd., Mrs. Lyle Brothers.
