game of Northern League hockey.

day evening the locals won front Kin-
cardine by a score of 6 to 2. On
Tuesday evening the local boys visited
Lucknow and won by a score of 7 to 3.
This brings the local club in the lead

Devoured the Buffalo Meat—The
fortnightly Lions Luncheon held on
Friday evening in the Brunswick Cafe
was greatly enjoyed by all present.
The Lions devoured the Buffalo steaks
with eagerness which was only sur-
passed by the guests of the evening
viz: Mayor W. H. Willis, I, L. 'Wright'
and Abner Cosens. The latter gentle-
man gave a most interesting account

OBITUARY
Mrs. W. E. Brumskill
Mrs. W. E. Brumskill died in Sask-
kaicion after an illness of some mon-
ths. The former Barbara 'Gilmar was
born in Mildmay, 57 years ago, mov-
ing to Saskatoon 36 years ago, where
she married Mr. Brumskill in 1915.
She was a member of St. Thomas
Wesley Church for 34 yew's, and was
particularly interested in the W.M.S.
Baby Band, of which she was super-
intendent. She was also a member of
the
Surviving besides her husband, who
is employed by the Star Phoenix is
one son, Harry T., of Windsor, Ont.,
and a daughter, -Gene (Mrs. George,
Severin of Saskatoon,' also a grand-
son, Billy Severin. There are five sis-
ters, three in Detroit, Mrs. Thomas
Sangster of Clifford, Mi's. J. Sander-
son of Gorric, and two brothers, Ed-
win Gilmar of Mildmay and one in
Alberta. -
The funeral service was held from
St. Thomas-Wesley Church conducted
by Rev. R. W. K. Elliott. The ar-
rangements were in .charge of the
Saskatoon Funeral Home.
