We are glad to learn from our agents that "Salada" copy will be running in your paper again in 1949. You will be interested to know that this is the 56th year without a break that we have used newspapers as the major single medium for advertising "Salada" Tea. This may or may not be a record for an unbroken campaign but certainly it stands as proof, that given a high standard of quality, un- iformly and consistently maintained, an article publicized in newspapers with the regularity we have practised will achieire a position of leadership. Thank you for your contribution, as a publisher, toward the success of our advertising in 1948 and please. ac- cept our best wishes for prosperity in 1949, Yours truly, Salada Tea Company of Canada, Ltd. Your right to keep your private affairs private is a cherished principle of Canadian banking. NEXT time you are in your bank, notice how many people keep their cheques face down . . just like you . . . while they make out their deposit slips. Notice how they close their passbooks before handing them in and get them back closed too. Canadian bank service is recognized by everyone as confidential. Every employee, when he came into the service of your bank, took a solemn declaration of secrecy. Your relationship with your bank is the most vitally confidential business relation.. ship you have. Contrast this Canadian way with conditions In lands where freedom is denied -where every bank is a political tool, every banker a public official working for the Stith)! State monopoly of honking, proposed by socialists here, would open your banking transactions to political intrusion. SPONSORED BY YOUR BANK HAMILTON OPTICAL CO. W. R. Hamilton, R. 0.
