Combine beaten eggs, sugar and beat until light and 'fluffy. Add shortening to hot coffee. When melted, stir mix- ture into beaten eggs and sugar. Fold in flour gradually. Bake in shallow greased pan for 45 minutes in pre- heated electric oven of 350 deuces. Invert on cake rack and when cool re. move from pan and decorate with - frosting and heart-shaped candies..
