School presented their pageant,
"Christmas Angels" under the direc-
tion of Mrs. E„ Whitfield and Mrs. E.
Farrish assisted by George Gregg at
the organ. The story of "Imagination"
painted while girls decorated
the church and their thoughts as they
worked of the "gifts" the Christmas
Angels brought, The Christmas An-
gels of Love, Edith Hastie; Joy and
Comfort, Marian Toner and Gwen
Ruttan; Peace and Goodwill, Esther
Barnes and Mary Thornton; Courage
and Gratitude, Bonnie Zimmerman
and Eleanore Stephens; Forgiveness,

The S. S. children brought their
gifts and laid them in the cradle for
the needy of Europe. In the lobby a
box was placed to receive gifts of the
congregation.

An Easter Lily with four or five
blooms was in the United Church on
Christmas Sunday. The plant was
grown by Mrs. Everard Carson.
The Agricultural Short Course for
young farmers will open on Jan. 10th,
in Gorrie. Anythe who has not al-
ready signed up for this course and
would like to take it may do so by
sending in an application at once, as
there is room for more. We under-
stand there have not been enough ap-
plications to have the girls'course.
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Ashton spent
Christmas day at Clifford with gr.
