The funeral service was held at St.
Olave's. Anglican Church, at 3.30 p.
in., on Thursday. .December 9th. In-
terment was in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Matthew L. Pearen
After an illness of six months, Mat-
thew L. Pearen passed on at East
General Hospital, Toronto, on Wed-
nesday, December 8th.
Born in 13elgrave, he came to Wing
ham when a young man and was mar-
ried here to the former Emma Jane
Rush, who predeceased hi'm in July
1947.
For many years he was employed in
Wingharn and thirty-five years ago
mbved to Toronto where he was con-
nected with a furniture company. He
was a member of the United Church.
- Surviving afire two brothers, Josh
of Owasso and Jack of Toronto.
Funeral seivices were held from
Currie's Funeral Home on Saturday,
Dec. 11th at 2.30 p.m."; with Rev, W.
A: Beecroft officiating. The pallbear-
ers were six nephews. Interment was
made in Wingham Cementery.

WEDDINGS
Pym - Coulter
An arch of terns wedding bells and
large baskets of phlk and white mums
formed a lovely setting at the home
of Mr. and Mrs, George H. Coulter,
Patrick St., at high noon on Saturday,
Dec. 11, for the marriage of their
youngest daughter, Grace McGee and
John Warren Pym, son of Mr. and
Mrs, Harold Victor Pym of Wing-
ham. Rev. A. Nimmo officiated and
Mr. H. V. Pym played the wedding
music.
Given in marriage by her father, the
bride was lovely in a gold gabardine
suit with black accessories and cor-
sage of red roses. Her bridesmaid,
Mrs. Robert Rae of London, sister of
the groom, wore a grey crepe dress
with grey accessories and a corsage
of pink roses. Mr. James Coulter was
groomsman,
Following the ceremony a buffet
luncheon was served to twenty-five
guests. The bride's mother received
in a black crepe dress with black ac-
cessories and a corsage of pink carna-
tions. The groom's mother clicise a
grey wool suit, black accessories and
a corsage of white carnations.
For travelling the bride donned a
blue top coat. On their return Mr.
and Mrs. Pym will reside in Wing-
ham.
OBITUARY
John Lutton
Suddenly on Monday, December
6th, in Toronto, John Lutton, at his
late residence, 14 Verbena Avenue,
Swansea, in his 59th year.
Mr. Lutton, son of the late Mr. and
Ia
Mrs. Tollerton Lutton, was born in
Northern Ireland and came to Wing-
ham at the age of seventeen. After
residing in Wingham for a few years,
he went to reside in Toronto. He
served in the First World War with
the 198th Canadian Buffs. For the
past 28 years he has been employed in
the shipping department with Wheel-
er and Bain Ltd.
He was a member of the Independ-
ent Order of Oddfellows, the Canad-
ian Buff Association, and a member
and sidesman of St. Olave's Anglican
Church, Windemere Avenue. Swan-
sea.
He is survived by his wife, the
