SR. WOMEN'S
MISSION CIRCLE
The regular mopthly meeting of
the Mission Circle of the Baptist.
Church' met on Thursday at the home
of Mrs. John Falconer.
The meeting opened with a Christ-
mas carol and prayer by Mrs. C.
pen. Business was discussed and the
roll call answered with an Xmas
verse.
Miss R. Lewis brought the devot-
ional reading, Luke 2, and based her
'remarks on verse 7 of the chapter
which says, "There was no -oont for
Jesus in the Inn.” This message was
interesting and much appreciated.
Mrs. Walter Pocock sang an Xmas
solo; "Dear Little Stranger,", after
which Mrs. 0. J. Coupland brought
the topic for the afternoon speaking
on "Mary, the Mother of Jesus," how
faithful, obedient and willing she
was to give her life. how it pays for
Christian mother'sto serve the Lord,
and be obedient to the Lord, put self
away and look to' Him. This was
much enjoyed by all. Those participa-
ting in a season of prayer were Mrs.
Stokes, Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Collar,
Another Xmas carol was sung after
which Mrs. Pocock dismissed the
meeting with prayer. A social time
was enjoyed.

ity for so small a church group to un-
dertake such a project. On Sunday,'
December 12th, their new $15,000
church was opened. Rev. W. A. Bee-
'croft, chairman of Huron Presbytery,
was there for the opening and dedi-
cation, Rev. Beckler of a neighbour-
ling Mennonite charge assisted, and
Rev, Reba Herm minister of the Var-
na-Goschen field had charge of the
service. In the evening the service
was conducted by Rev. Robt. Cum-
ming of Lucan, Sec. of London Con-
ference.
