Mrs, Ezra Welwood returned home
during the week-end feeling fine after
her recent stay in Wingham Hospital.
Mrs. Charles Mackay of Brussels,
spent last week at the home of Mr,
and Mrs, Walter Lott. Mrs, Lott spent
Friday at Victoria Hospital, London,
with Mr. Lott, and Mr, and Mrs, Or-
val Newby of London, brought him
home on Sunday,
Mrs, Robert Ross spent the week-
en4 with London relatives.
The National Film Board will pre,
sent moving pictures in the Memorial
Hall this/ Thursday evening, with a
plendid group of pictures. An eye-
witness picture of the CCF convention
in Winnipeg; a history of the Early
clays of settlement in this country until
the present; Hot-Ice-a picture of
Toronto Maple Leafs vs, New York
Rangers for. the National Hockey
championship; one on food, Why wont
Tommy eat?; and • one on life in the
German settlement of Lunenburg, N.
S.; a story of the Sea, and sp%cial pic-
ture of the Royal Winter Fair, show-
ing the awarding of the King's Guin-
eas. This is a treat not to be missed.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Henderson of
Lucknsw, visited on Sunday with her
sister Mrs.. Mac Ross.
Mr, Lorne jOhnston and Mr. Bruce
Ryan of Goderich, spent the week-end
in Toronto.

School. Her duties to commence in

Johnston of Ripley, visited at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ritchie.

Car Suffers Damage
A collision took place in Belgrave
when two cars, one driven by Miss
Mona McCowan, Clinton, and owned
by Russel Jervis, Clinton, and the
other driven by Levi Biernan, con. 9,
East Wawariosh, met at the intersec-
tion. Badly dented fenders and broken
lights were the main damage, no ode
being injured. Constable Charles Sal-
ter of Blyth, investigated. Mrs, Oliver
Jervis was a passenger with Miss Me-
Cowan. Slippery roads were given as
the cause of the accident,
Library Books Changed
The books of the Library have been
changed this week. The library will be
open Thursday, December 23rd., from.
2 to 4, instead of Christmas Day,
Mr. and Mrs, Lyle Hopper were
taken by complete surprise on Friday
night when their family called to cele-
brate their thirtieth wedding anniver-
sary. Those present were Mr. and
Mrs. Lloyd Alcock, ((Laura)_ and
two children; Mr, and Mrs. Thos,
Garniss (Muriel), and three child-
ren and Mr, and Mrs, Stanley Hopper
and Marjorie. Mr. and Mrs. Hopper
were presented with a handsome mot-
or rug to mark the occasion.

babies at the morning service on Sun-

A.Y.P.A. Meeting
The members of the A.Y.P.A. held
their regular meeting on Friday even-
ing, at the home of Miss Jean Cart-
wright. Thd meeting opened with the
singing of "Hark, the Herald Angels
Sing," after which Audrey Bradbuin
led in prayer. Rev. Henderson read
the scripture passage. It was decided
to hold a Christmas social on Dec. 23,
