The Community Association was
organized in the Memorial Hall here,
last Monday night, following a short
program in ,charge of Mrs. George
Fisher, vice-pres., of the Women's
Institute. The following officers were
elected: Pres., Mrs. Ezra Scholtz;
Sec., Robt. Laidlaw; Program Com-
mittee, Aldin Purdon, Mrs. Ryan,
Mrs. Ernest Casemore. A program
will be held in the Hall this Friday
evening for all in the Community.
Ladies are asked to bring lunch and
children are free,

dance on Friday night in the Memor.
ial Hall, with Farrier's Orchestra
providing the music.
Neighbours gathered on. Monday to
help Mr. Roy Huffman replace the
shingles blown off the roof of his
barn during the recent high wind-
storm.
The Huron County Library Assoc-
iation held their ,.annual meeting in
Mr. Fred Newman's store last Thurs-
day evening, with Rev. W, J. Watt
in the chair, Rev. W. S. Sutherland
was again appointed President; and
J. D. Beecroft, Sec.-Trees, and tre
Library Board Officers ' arc, Rev.
Watt, 3. G. Gillespie, James Wilson,
Albert Patterson, Ezra Welwood.
After receiving the Library Grants,
the Board decided to set the 'fee for
next year at 50 cents per family.
They had been encouraged during the
past year, with so many members and
so many books read, Mr. Glenn Eck-
mier of Goderich, County Librarian,
was present at the meeting.
Mr. and Mrs. John Mason held a
family reunion at their home on Sun-
day last, with Mr, and Mrs. Parker
Campbell and family, Wingham, Mr.
,and Mrs. Fleming Johnston and son,
Bluevale, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mas-
on and sons, Mr, and Mrs. Lloyd
Mason of Listowel, and Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Mason and datigrter, Wing-
ham present.
Mn. and Mrs. Jas. Curran and fam-
ily of St. Helens, spent Sunday with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Purdon. Mrs, Purdiit received word
from Montreal, that her mother, Mrs.
Archie Anderson, who has been with
her daughter, Miss Elizabeth Ander-
son, for the past year, has been ill,
suffering froth a heart condition,
Mrs. Will Ringlet', who spent two
weeks in Wingham Hospital, was able
to return home last 'INIonday.
Mrs, Jas. Aittheson, who has been
in Toronto 'General Hospital follow-

Mr. Ed.' Wojiechowski who has
been helping Mr, Frank Thompson
for the past year, left last Friday to
secure work for this year in a city.

Milton MeBurney of London, spent

United Church had charge of the
service in Brick Church on Sunday,
when Rev, Mr, Moores had charge of
Anniversary services at Brucefield.
Master Sidney Thompson returned
home from the Winter Fair on Wed-
nesday, He had had his hereford calf
placed eighth among the hereford
calves in the King's Guinea Class.
Each exhibitor was given a heavy
white wool sweater, with "Agricul-
tural Education" printed on the Crest
on the sweater, Prize calves one to
ten were in the -parade, in each of the
Hereford, Shorthorn and Aberdeen
Angus classes,

Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Reid and son,
Donald of Lucknow, visited on Sun-
day at the home of her brdther, Mr.
Gordon Rintoul. Mrs. Alex Rintoul,
who had been visiting with Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Ii.intoul, returned to
Lucknow with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lott were in
London one day last week. Mr. Lott
is spending a few days this week in
Victoria Hospital there.
Mr. John Beadle of Vancouver
spent last week -with his brother-in-
law, Mr. Thos. Robinson.
Mr. and Mrs. John Mason and fam-
ily, Mr. and Mrs, Fleming Johnston
and son, of Bluevale, spent Thursday
last in London, with Miss Mildred
Mason, on her way home to Toronto
from California.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cameron of
Lucknow visited on Sunday at the
home of their daughter, Mrs. Mason
Robinson,
The folks on the 9th of E. Wawa-
nosh held their weekly Euchre at the
tome of Mr. and Mrs. John Mason
on Wednesday last. Mrs. John Mc-
Burney and Mr. John Mason held
high points, Mrs. Mark Armstrong
and Mr. Thos. Robinson held low
points. They meet this Wednesday
evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Thompson.

end at the home of his uncle and aunt,
Mr. and Mrs. J. F. McLean. Rev.
Campbell had charge of the ser.
vices in the Dungannon, Crewe, Port
Albert United Churches on Sunday.

in Toronto General Hospital, left on
Monday to take a position in Victoria
Hospital, London, on general duty.
Mrs. Ezra Welwood, who has been
ill during the past week went through
an operation in Wingham Hospital
on Monday morning.
Mr, Gordon McGee spetit last week-
end in Toronto at the Winter Fair
and with his brother, Mr. Roy McGee.
