the Assessment Roll of 1949 be ac-
cepted with the changes made and the
Court be closed. Carried.

Mr. Charles Gillespie of Kitchener,
spent the week-end at the home of his
brother, Mr. J, G. Gillespie, and with
Kinlough relatives.
Mrs. Andrew Fox left on Sunday
with her daughter, Miss Isabel Fox of
Kincardine, to spend the winter mon-
ths at St, Georges at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Roy Patten.
Mr. Thos. Gaunt, Mr. Victor Emer-
son and Mr, Frank Coulter were 'busy
last week putting red-brick siding on
S, S. No. 9, Kinloss. This makes quite
an improvement in the appearance of
the old school house,
Miss Grace Moir spent the week-
end at the home of Mr, and Mrs.
Brock McKenzie of Teeswater.
Mr. Harold Kerr of Wingham had
his bull-dozer on the 4th of Kinloss
last week, cleaning off a hill near Al-
len Graham's farm, and when Ronson
Falconer was moving the -truck and
crushing equipment there on Saturday,
and .was going' over a bridge about
ithirty feet long, he heard the timbers

Mrs. J. H. R.' Elliott is visiting her
daughter, Mrs, Lloyd Wettlaufer at
Burgessville.
Armistice Day has been proclaimed
a holiday in Blyth. The local Legion
will hold a Memorial service in Mem-
orial Hall at IA a.m. with' Rev. John
Henderson, rector of Trinity Church,
Myth Municipal Nominations. will be
held on Friday, November 26th.
Word was received here on Monday,
that Mrs. Kilpatrick had passed away
at her home in St. Thomas on Sunday.
She was the mother of Dr. C. D. Kil-
patrick of Listowel, formerly of Blyth.

Mr. and Mrs. George Tiffin and

the home of her sister, Mrs. Cecil
Falconer,
Mrs. Ben McCienaghan has been
,under 'the doctor's care during the past
-week with a severe attack o.f the flu.
Mr. Mrs, Russell GaGunt and
children, and tier _ parents, Mr. and
Mrs. David Currie of Wingham, were
Gor.rie visitors on Sunday.
The many friends of Mr. John J.
Johnston and his family in this com-
munity extend sympathy to them in
their bereavement. Mrs. Johnston
passed away on Friday morning after
a long time of intense suffering. The
funeral was 'held from the home in the
village to Wingham cemetery On Sun-
day afternoon, With her pastor., Rev.
GG. M. Newton of the United Church,
in charge of the services. Among those
from a distance who attended the fun-
eral were; Mr. -and Mrs. Elliott John-
ston of Windsor, Mr. and Mrs. Chas.
Wood of •Seaforth, Mr. and Mrs. Ross
McMichael of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs.
Stewart Smith .of Kitchener, Mr. and
Mrs. Ed. Robinson, Auburn, Mrs. j,as.

Lunch was served and 'the social time
was enjoyed 'by all. •
