formerly Janet Them, passed
away in Detrait on Saturday, after an
illness of several years, the last two
of which she has been bedfast from,
strokes. She was the daughter .of
late ane Mrs. William Thom, who
came here after their marriage in Lan-
ark, and settled in W. Wawanosh. Of
!their four sans, and five daughters,
only one des:Miter, Mrs. Leach of De-
troit, is now living. She was in her
eighty-seventh year, and her husband
predeceased her about thirty years ago.
4 To them were born four children, three
,daughters, Kruger, ((jean), and Mrs.
'Cririgle (Margaret), of Detroit,' and.
"Mrs. Cook (Mernei Lucknow, and
"one son, John at he-me.
The funeral was held from the farm
home on the boundary on Monday af-
ternoon to, Greenhill cemetery, with
Rev. W. S. Sutherland of White-
church Presbyterian Church, in charge
„of the services. Many old friends o
