The Parish Club—At a well attend-
ed meeting one evening last week the
Parish Club was re-organized for the
coming fall and winter months with
the following officers: Hon. Presi-
dents, Dr, T. Chisholm, M,P., and A.
H, Musgrove, M,P.P.; Pres, Rev C.
E. Jenkins; 1st, Vice-Pres„ Dr P,
Macdonald; 2nd Vice-Pres., J. C.

A. F, Miller; Treas.. W A Campbell!.
The above officers with E. A, Ham-
mond and Benj, Scott will form the
Executive Committee.
Bowling Tournament—The Bowling
Tournament was concluded on Wed-
nesdgy evening of last= weekafter this
paper had gone to press. In the Scotch
doubles, Messrs. Dudley Holmes and
A. M. Crawford won first prize arid
Messrs. C. Knechtel and D. T. Hep-
burn second. In the singles, Mr. Alex
Porter won first and Mr, W. Allin off
Lucknow, second. The tournament
was the most successful ever held in
Wingham.
Quoiting Matches.:--The old game
of Quoits is being revived in Wing-
ram and some of the 'old players have
been having considerable sport with
the new beginners., Last Saturday af-
ternoon four Wingham players went
over to Belgrave and played thus: F.
Paterson vs. Thos. Hill; V. R. Van-
Norman vs. D. Geddes; Dudley Hol-
mes vs. J. Stewart; A, M. Crawford
vs. Dr. Hamilton, Wingham won by
many shots.
Ball - Dallas—A pretty home wed-
ding was solemnized on Tuesday at
the home of Mr. C. Dallis, Centre St.,
when his daughter, Miss Jean Dallas,
was united in marriage to Mr. John
Ball, a former well-known resident of
Wingham. Rev. D. Perrie officiated.
Wetherhead - Took—Married at
the Manse, Wingham, on Sept. 'th, by
ARev. D. Perrie, ,Mr. Louis G. Weth-
erhead to Miss Charlotte Took, both
of East Wawanosh.
Cunningham-Manning—Married at
the residence of the bride's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. John Manning, 5th line

Endeavor on Sunday 'evening when
Miss Annie Inglis and Mr. Jas, Darl-
ling had charge of the meeting. Miss
Amy Newans of Wingham, spent Sun-
day at her home here,

Coultes - Stonehouse—A pretty
wedding had its setting in Knox
Church,. Belgrave, on Saturday, when
Mary Ellen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Stonehouse, Belgrave, was
married to Robert Howson Coultes,
Morris Township, son of John Coultes;
Belgrave. Rev. Jas, Scobie, assisted by
Rev. A. M. Grant, officiated.
Gorrie—Mr, and Mrs. C. Gregg and
famiily visited in Guelph on Tuesday.
Mr. 'and Mrs. Ira McLean of Brussels,
also Mr. Frank Earls, Miss Isabel,
and mother of near Wroxeter, were
guests of Mr. and Mrs, Kenneth Has-
tie on Sunday. Mr. and ,Mrs. Wm.
Wade of Fordwich, visited last week
with Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Wade. Mr.
