heavy rain storm that swept the dist-

Harold had returned just shortly
before from 'a late session of West
Wawanosh Township Council. Pos.
sibly the same bolt that struck 'the
barn put the Hydro out of commission
and a few minues later the glare from
the barn attracted Harold's attention
When he reached the barn Harvey
Webb was already at the scene but
they were unable to save anything.
The conflagration destroyed the
season's crop of hay, about 700 bushels
of oats which were combined a few
days before ,and all but one load from
a 7-acre field of wheat, which was
stored for threshing at a later date,-
Livestock destroyed includesl 15 pigs
and two sows. Some implements were
also destroyed, including a wagon be-
longing to Dick Weatherhead, as well
as Harold's light truck which was sit-
ting along side the barn.

IN MEMORIAM
ANGUS—In loving memory of my
dear sister, Florence, who passed
away, August 17th, 1947.
I cannot say, and I will not say
That site is dead. She is just away!
With a cheery smile, and a wave of the
hand,
She has wandered into an unknown
land.
And eft us dreaming how very fair
It needs must be, since site lingers
there.
And you—oh you, who the wildest
yearn
For the old-time step and the glad
return,
Think of her faring on, as dear
Ie the hive of There as the love of
Here;
Think of her still as the same, 1 say:
She is not dead—she is just away,.
—Sadly missed by her sister Olive.
IN MEMORIAM
ANGUS—In loving memory of
Florence Angus, who passed away
Aueuet 17th, 1947.
What would we give, het. band to
clasp,
Her patient face to see, to hear her
voice, to see her smile,
As in the days that need to be.
But some sweet day, we'll meet again,
'Beyond the toil and strife,
Awl clasp each others hands once

In Heaven, that happy life.
Ever remembered by sister and
brother-in-law, Evelyn and Harry.
IN MEMORIAM
ANGUS—In loving memory of
Florence, who passed away in
Wine:ham, on August 17th, 1947.
Time speeds on, one year has passed,
Since death, it's gloom, it's shadows
cast,
Within our home° where all seemed
bright,
And took from us a shining light.
We miss that light, and ever will,
Her vacant place there is none to fill,
Down here we mourn, hut not in vain,
For up in Heaven, we shall meet
again. '

more reverent on the Sabbath.
