joyed a picnic at Goderich on Sunday.
1 Miss Delores Hamilton is to be con-
gratulated on winning the prize for
the highest marks at the Entrance ex-
amination at Wingham centre this
year. She attended Bluevale school,
taught by Mr. Roy Mooney. Since
prizes were given for first place, she
is the third pupil from this school to
win. Mary Darling taught by Mrs.
Kenneth Wheeler, and Gerald Ed-
monds, taught by Mrs. M. L. Aitken
were the others.
Robert Warwick
Robert Warwick died at his home in
Morris Township on Saturday even-
▪ ing, after a brief illness. He was born
ffs in the township, the son of the late
El Robert Warwick and Isabella Allan.
.• 11e lived in Morris all his life, except
;fora few years homesteading in the
iWest. His wife, formerly Martha Roe,
'died three years ago. Surviving are a
• 'brother, Andrew (Ladd) and a sister,
a Mrs. Jean Storch, both of British Coi-
f" umbia, The funeral service, conducted
by Rev, Samuel Kerr, of Glace Bay,
N.S., was held at the home on Tues-
day afternoon August 17th. Pallbear-
ers were Bert Hastings, Ross Smith,
Wm, Ellston, Harvey Edgar, Edward
Garniss, Bernard Thomas.
Mr. Ernest Leech of Winnipeg,
viewed anew residential and mill sites
in Gorrie and Bluevale, once the prop-.
erty of the Leech brothers. Mr. Leech
was born in ,Gorrie, a son of John
Leech, fourth of the ten Leech broth-
ers, and accompanied his parents to
