berry, spent a few days last week with

days last week at the home of their
daughter, Mrs. Will Reid of Brussels,

tend congratulations to Dr. John W,
Idowbray, son of Mr. Alex Mowbray
and the late Mrs. Mowbray of Luck-
now, who was successful in passing
his :Medical Council Exams last week.
He graduated from Medical College,
Toronto, on June 25th, winning a
scholarship. John has been a good
student, having won four other schol-
arships during his college years, He
will interne in Toronto General Hos-
pital,
Mr, Nat Thomson held a very suc-
cessful sale last Tuesday afternoon of
cattle, and the farm was sold to 'Mr,
Gordon Elliott, Mr. Stanley Thomson
of Forest, was here for a few days and
Nat left on Wednesday to return to
Westminster Hospital, London,'
Mr. and Mrs, Jack Caldwell of
Winnipeg, spent a few days last week
with Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Welwood and
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Heffer of
Turnberry, also visited there on Sun-
day.
, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Groskorth,
Paul and Karen were at Toronto at
the week-end where they oattended the
wedding of her brother, George Ron-
ald Bagg son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Bagg of Unionville, and Miss Helen
Kathleen Watson, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. K, B. Watson of Unionville. The
marriage was solemnized on Friday
evening at 7,30 in North Broadview
United Church, Toronto, by Rev. Mr.
Bell and little Karen, was the flower
girl. The young couple are spending
their honeymoon in a tour of the
Laurentian Hills. '
Mri. Andrew Fox who spent the
winter months with Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Patten of St. Georges, returned to her
home here on Tuesday last, accomp-
anied by Miss Isabel Fox of Kincar-
dine,
Mr. Gordon Rintoul has purchased
the former Clow home at the East of
the village, from Mrs. Walter Mason
of Blyth,
Quite a few of the E. Wawanosh
farmers have been using the new hay
baler outfits this haying season, One
man baled 1000 bales in five hours.
The weather last week was spendid
for this kind of haying.
Yvonne and Glenn Majury, who
were spending last week with their
aunt, were called home on 'Wednesday
on account of the sudden passing of
their grandmother, Mrs. Majury from
a stroke. Mr. and Mrs. Coultes at-
'tended the funeral at Paisley on Fri-
day,

!children spent a few days this week
at Tobermory. M. Groskorth is hav-
ing his holidays this 'week,

services in the United Church at

arid afterwards visited with Mr. Harry
McClenaghan of Belgrave,

visited with her sister, Mrs. Frank
Thompson and with E. Wawanosh
relatives over the week-end.

Miss Olive. Terriff, R.N., who has

rich, returned home on Monday.

nosh, has been laid up during the past
two weeks suffering from a blood clot
in his leg.

has been visiting with her sister, Mrs.
Harold Walker.

granddaughter, Carol Rockett, spent
the week-end with Windsor friends,
and their daughter, Mrs. Alma Rock-
ett returned home with them to visit.

five children, who arrived from Hol-
land three weeks ago, have been hired

make their home in the house vacated
