Messrs. Eissin Taylor, Eddie Taylor,
Misses Norma and Ida Taylor were in
London on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Duehanan and
Mrs. Jos. Brophey visited 'on Sunday
with Mr, Ray Vincent of London,
Miss Norma Taylor spent the week-
end with her aunt, Mrs. Robert Snell
of Stratford, and ode Sattirday attend-
ed the Pauli—Bell wedding at Strat-
ford.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Younohint of
London visited on Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Douglas Campbell.
The ssnioathy of this community is
tended to the family and friends of
he late Mr. Robert Thompson who
passed away in Toronto on Friday in
his 13rd year. He was born in Ire-
land in 1875, coming to Canada in
1924 and lived for several years on the
4th concession of East I,Vawromsh,
later moving to Blyth where Mrs.
Thompson predeceased him in 1942.
Five years ago Mrs Thompson moved
to 'Toronto, where he made his home
With his daughter, Mrs. Wm. Aitken.
Surviving are three slaughters and
eight sons: Mrs. Win. Aitken, Mrs,
Arthur Houston of Toronto, Mrs.
Blair of the 6th concession of. East
Wawanosh; Joseph of Hamilton, Tinos
of Belgrave, Ned of Brussels, David of
Toronto; James, Robert, William and
Jack of Wingitam, and three sisters,
Mrs. A, Glover, Mrs. Glenn Dinney,
Miss Elizabeth Thompson of Ireland.
The funeral service was held on
Sunday afternoon from the home of
Mr, and Mrs. Hugh Blair and was

East Wawanosh Federation was held
at the home of Mr. John Buchanan,
on Tuesday' evening, June 22nd., with
11 members of the Executive and Dir-
ectorate present.

May 19th meeting be adopted as read.

Day at the meeting of the Women's
Institute at the home of Mrs. Fred
McQuillin.
Miss Margaret McPherson was a
Week-end guest of her friend; Miss
Marjorie Cramm at Pinkerton,
Many friends and relatives from a
distance attended the• funeral on Sun-
day afternoon, of Mr. John Durnin,
who passed away early Friday morn-
ing at the age of 85, Mr. Durnin was
a highly respected and life-long resi-
dent of the community and the sym-
pathy of a host of friends goes to
the bereaved family,
Miss Margaret McPherson was
hostess to the pupils of Grades XII.
and XIII. Lucknow High School, at
a weiner roast at her home on Thurs-
day evening.
Miss Doris Taylor of London is
spending a week at her home here.
The annual Social Meeting of the
W.M.S. will be held in the church on
Thursday afternoon, July 8, at 2:30.
Miss Marion Hodgins of Holyrood
who has been engaged in. social ser-
vice work in Hartford, Conn„ will be
the guest Speaker, An invitation has
been extended to the Societies of the
Ashfield circuit and Whiteclitirch and
Brick United Churches, and all the

delightful lawn luncheop as a farewell
party for their daughter, Mrs. Bob
Peters of Timmins, on Friday last,

brother, John, of Shallow Lake, were

C. Dunkin and family.
