William Work
William Work, retired farmer, died
on Sunday at Wingham General Hos-
pital, in his 90th year. Until a few
Li days ago, he had enjoyed excellent
fa health. He was a lifelong resident on
the farm which his father settled as
a pioneer.- Mr,Work was an active • member of Brussels Presbyterian
Church, and formerly served on the
• board of managers. He leaves three
a sons, John of Brussels; Harold, Wiar-
ton, and Rohertof Toronto, also two
sisters, both over 90 years of age in
• Dakota.
° • The funeral is being held from the
residence of his son; John A. Work,
Lot 1, Con. 8, Grey Township at 2
M p.m., this afternoon, (Wednesday).
Interment in Brussels cemetery.

Mrs, Wilbert Wellwood highly re-
spected and well known resident of
• Wingham passed on in Wingham
General Hospital, on Sunday, June
27th, after a lingering illness. She
was in her 65th year.
11 Born in Port Huron, Michigan, she
was the former Mary Rosetta Ham-
mond. Before her marriage in August
1914, she was employed as a steno-
! grapher at C. Lloyd & Son.
• She was a most faithful member of
WI the United Church, the Women's
Missionary Society and the Women's
Institute.
•.• Surviving* besides her husband are,
• a daughter, Caroline R., of Wingham,

Ernest Hammond of South Bend, Ind.
Two children predeceased her.

former doctor in Wingham, died in

Benjamin Naylor passed away in
Wingham General Hospital, on Fri-
day -evening, after an illness there of
five weeks, but he had not had good
health during the past few years. He
ryas in his eightieth year. Over fifty'-
twtn ago he -married Sarah Ad-
dison, who survives him. To them
was born one daughter, Mrs. Leila'
McGee of London, who also survives.
He was the son of the late Mr. and
Mts. Fountain Naylor -of H. Wawa-
nosh, and of their family of five soils
, and five daughters, only two daughters
now survive, Mrs. Dell and Mrs. John
Bailey of 'Myth. He was a devout

Charles N. Peake
Teacher of drafting and mechanical
drawing on the staff of Central Tech.
for 30 years, Charles Nicholson Peake,
died Wednesday, juhe 23rd., from a
heart attack at his home,124 Mac-
pherson Ave., Toronto. He bad been
retired since 1983. Mr. Peake was a
lifelong resident of Toronto and was
a graduate of the School of Practical
Science, University of Toronto. Prior
to joining the staff of Central Tech.,
he was active in electrical engineering.
He Was a member of the I.O.P. and
Bloor Street United Church.
Surviving are his widow, Edith
Davis Peake, a daughter, Mrs. Shaw
McEweri, Toronto; a son, Dr. II. C.
Peake, Parkhill, and a sister, Mrs. E.
M. Benton, Toronto. '
