MacKellar, of London, Supervisor for
Western Ontario will conduct classes
in Gorrie, on July 5tb. and 6th, begin-
niug at 10 a.m. at the Community
Park, Mrs, MacKellar has asked that
expert swimmers as well as beginners
attend these classes that they may be
taught how to instruct he kiddies in
the art of swimming. These classes
are free to all who attend and are
sponsored by your local Red Cross
and Community Club, An invitation
is extended to the Fordwich and
Wroxeter children.

Mrs. Norman Wade. The meeting
closed with the benediction pronoun-
ced by Mr, Coley after which a delic-
ious lunch was served by the hostess.
Congratulations and best wishes to
the former Marie Weiner of con. 12,
gr. Lorne Robinson and his bride,
Howick, who were married on Mon-
day at the Lutheran parsonage, Clif-
ford.
There are a number of cases of

Ohio, a one time resident of Gorrie,
was in town recently.
Mr. Wm. Ferguson of Clifford
visited relatives in town on Sunday,
Congratulations to Postmaster and
Mrs, Gordon Brown who on June 27,
marked their silver wedding anniver-
sary. On Monday evening they enter-
tained about fifty guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Gilkinson, Mr,
and Me, Thos. Short and Miss Myrtle
visited iMr. and Mrs. Wm. Maxwell of
Wroxeter on Sunday.
Miss Lois Dodds of Brussels, was
home on Sunday.
Miss Melda Taylor of Wingham,
visited friends in town on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sparling and
Miss Jean, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Sparling and Yvonne, motored to
Niagara Falls, Fort Erie and Brant-
ford on Sunday.
Our sympathy 'is extended to Mr.
Sam Ferguson whose brother, Wm.,
passed away in Cartwright Township,
in his 86th year. Mr, Ferguson Nyas
able to attend the funeral service on
Saturday, which was held from the
farm home, where he was born, 94
years ago, with interment at Black-
stock cemetery. Also attending the
funeral were Mr, and Mrs. I-arry
Ferguson,Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Ferg-
uson, 16. con., and Mrs, Everett
Sparling, Listowel.
Mr. and Mrs. W. C. King are visit-
ing for a few days with rulatives in
Detroit.
Mr. Stanley Dane of Toronto, spent
the week-end with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Robt. Dane.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ferguson of Ed-
monton, have returned to London,
where their son resides, after visiting
relatives here. They are spending the
next two months in Ontario.
Mrs. P. Fydell who has been holi-
daying at Port Elgin, is visiting her
daughter, Mrs. Gerald Galbraith and
Mr. Galbraith.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. King were in
Toronto on Wednesday afternoon and
attended a ball game in the evening.
Mr. and Mrs, Whitney Dane, Joan
Carol, and David, of Toronto, spent
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Norman
Wade, Visitors at the same home on
Friday were, Mrs. Vida Siefried, her
son, Ray, her daughter, Mrs: Homer
Cornwell and small daughter, all of
Lansing, Michigan.
Rev. G. G. Howse attended the
Huron Presbytery on Thursday which
was held at the Goderich Summer
School of the United Church. r
Mr, and Mrs. Hugh Switzer, Dill
and Bob, accompanied by Mr. and
Mrs, Jas. Shera and Shirley visited
at the home of Mr. Wes. Funston
Conn on Sunday.
Mrs. Geo. Robertson spent last
week with her daughter, Mrs. Gordon
Edgar and Mr. Edgar.
We are sorry to learn that Mr. Toni
Sradnock is confined to bed.
Mr. Alfred Phair, his son, Mr. Jack
Phair and Mrs. Phair and their son
of Blenheim visited with relatives
here over the week-end.

the latter's cousin, Mrs. Ewart Whit-

groom were honored by friends on
Thursday evening at a miscellaneous'
shower in the hail when they received
many beautiful gifts. Dancing was en-
joyed to the music of Wilbee's Or-
chestra.
