Mr, and Mrs. Alex Taylor, Miss Margaret bane attended the funeral on Monday afternoon of Miss Emma Jackson in Harriston. Mrs. Hector Hamilton opened her home for the April meeting of the W.M.S. on Thursday afternoon. The meeting opened with quiet music by Mrs: C. Hamilton followed by singing of the hymn, "Crown Him, with many Crowns", and the Lord's Prayer in unison. ;Mrs. Harry Ferguson presided for the worship service. Scripture read- ing was from Matt. 28: 16-20; Luke 24: 45.48, John 20: 19-21, by Mrs. G. Brown was followed by prayer. Mrs. C. Hamilton gave a reading, "Not Ours Alone." Mrs. Alex Taylor spoke very appropriately on the theme "While the Earth remaineth, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, sum- mer and winter, day and night shall not cease" stressing the attention on the fact that we must not lose sight of the only things in this world we can depend upon, God and the Bible, The president, Mrs. A. Taylor had charge of the business period. The roll call was responded to by a thought on seed time. The meeting closed with hynm and Mizpah benediction. The hostess served a delicious lunch, - Silver Wedding Anniversary On Sunday, April 4th, Mr. and Mrs. Wellesley Strong entertained their im- mediate families at luncheon in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary, They were the recipients of a Tri-lite floor lamp and other gifts. Women's Institute The annual meeting of the Gorrie Women's Institute will be held at the home of Mrs. C.
