Miss Edna Moffatt spent the week- end with her parents at Tecswater, Mr, Victor Campbell has returned home after spending the winter in Goderich, Miss Margaret Wightman of Jordan Station spent a few days 'last week with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Earl Wightlnan. East Wawanosh Federation The regular monthly meeting of the East Wawanosh Federation was, held in the Co-Op. Club rooms at Bel- grave on Wednesday, March 10th, with 12 members of the Executive and Directorate present, The minutes of the Feb. meeting were read and adopted on motion of Aldin Purdon, seconded by Geo. Bie- plan. Moved by Ken Wheeler, seconded by Gordon Elliott that Orval Taylor be a committee to make arrangements with, Dr. Kirby for the purpose of having all female calves vaccinated against' Bang's disease. The weekly Lenten Prayer Service will be held in the United Church School-room on Thursday evening at $ p.m. Rev, U. Cronhielm, will con- duct the meeting, Rev. James C. Caley a St, James Anglican Church will speak. Dr. Donald. and Mrs, MacLean of Toronto, were week-end guests of the latter parents, Dr. T. E. and Mrs, Ball. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Moffat were London visitors one day last week. Mr. Vern Denny who has been stationed at Orangeville\ for the winter season, spent the week-end with Mrs, Denny and Miss Thelma Denny, Miss Blackwood has returned to the village, after a short holiday with Miss Alioa and Mr. Arnold Ball. The Brussels Lions Club are hold- ing an amateur night on March 19th, when $50.00 is offered in prizes, Pro- ceeds towards Children's Playground Project and Aid to the Blind. Miss Gilberta Howes of the local Bank Staff is under the Dr's, care at present. Gilberta's many friends hope for a speedy recovery. Mrs. I. J. Gamble who was a visit-. or with D. S. and Mrs, MacNaugh- ton, returned to her home at Fordwich on Wednesday, Friends and neighbours here learn- ed with regret of the death of Mr. Milvert Sellers, Who passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. L. Hetherington, Toronto, on Friday night. Mr. Sellers had been ill with a heart condition for several months, his condition became critical about seven weeks ago. Deepest sympathy goes out to Mrs. Sellers and her dau- ghter, Mrs. J. L. Hetherington in their sad loss. Funeral services were held on Monday from his late residence. Pictures of Fort Norman Rev. H. L. and Mrs. Jennings, Mor- peth, spent part of last week with Mr. r,1 and Mrs. Charles Lawrence. Mr, Milligan was a retired C.N.R. station agent. Mr. and Mrs. Win. Harrison were Sunday visitors with their son, Jack - and family at Preston. Mrs. Les. Duggan, Stayner, was a lit visitor last week with Mr. and Mrs, George Griffith. Mrs. Duggan was the = former Janette Adams of this place. Moved by Chas. Robinson, seconded by Aldin Purdon that we adjourn to meet on April 6th, A. D. Campbell, Sec,-Treas. Mr. Gordon Carter is confined to his home with measles. This is the first measles this year to be in the neighbourhood. The sympathy of the community is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wight- man and friends in the death of the former's Sister, Miss Annie Wight- man in her 72nd. year, who passed away on Wednesday, ,ALirch 10th, at London, where she had been a resident for the past sixteen years. Miss Wightman was born at Bel- grave in April 1876, and moved to the vicinity around 1900, and was a mem- ber of the Westfield Church and life member of the W.M.S. She leaves to mown her passing, one brother, Earl on the homestead, on the 4th of West Wawanosh, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Henry (Grace), of Van- couver; Mrs. McKellar (Hattie) of St. Charles, Michigan; Mrs. Wesley (Mabel) Stackhouse, of Brncefield, and a -number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held on Sat- urday afternoon from the family resi- dence and was conducted by Rev. A. G. Hewitt, Tbe flower bearers were two nephews, Harvey and Norman Wightman. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Marvin 'McDowell, Wm. Mc- Dowell, Thos. Bamford and Albert Campbell. Interment was in the West- field cemetery. Those present from a distance were: Mr. and., Mrs. Forest McKellar of Midland, Alichigan; Mr. and Mrs. Earl McKellar, of Freeland, Michigan, Al r. and Mrs. Gen. Wight- man of Pine River. Mr, and Mrs. Wesley Stackhouse and Miss Eva of Brueefield. Friends sere also present front 1113.th, Lucknow, and Auburn.
