Bishop The Right Reverend
T. David B. Ragg confirmed

David Hodgins, Ted
Hodgins, Janice Hodgins and
Terry Hodgins of Greenway
and Michelle Goulet (of
Thedford).
The Parish consists of
Thedford, Port Franks and
Greenway and the Pastor is
Rev. Tim Hill. A pot-luck
lunch followed the the hall.
People of Grace Anglican
Church are holding their
Christmas Concert on Satur-
day evening December 20
and Greenway United
Church people are holding
their concert following the
service on Sunday
December 14.

Eleven ladies were pre-
sent at the Christmas
meeting which was held at
the home of the president,
Iva Lagerwerf.
Isabel Bullock was in
charge of the devotional,,
assisted by Anne Walper.
The. Christmas Therhe was
carried through the
devotional. Following the
Call to Worship several
Christmas carols were sung.
The scripture - Luke 2 - ,
Verses 8-20 was read follow-
ed by two readings, "Christ-
mas is for 'Sinners" and '
"The Meaning of Christ-
mas". Christmas is a time to
smile, show our love to
others, visit shut-ins and go
to church. Isabel closed the
worship service with prayer.
Iva was in charge of the
business and thank-you notes
were read from Mr. and
Mrs. Russell Mellin, Mr. and
Mrs. Ken Rock and Mr. and
Mrs. Glen Steeper.
Doris Eagleson gave the
treasurer's report and read
a letter that she had receiv-
ed from "The Irwin's".
Donations were sent to
Korea for "The Irwins" and
the Salvation Army.
A new slate of officers for
next year was brought
forward by Olive Horner and
Ruby Isaac. Other items of
business were discussed.
The meeting closed with a
tasty lunch served by Isabel
Bullock and the hostess. A
time of fellowship was en-
joyed by the members.

Rev, Greg Smith was in
charge of service held in the
Parish ball at St. Patrick's
church Sunday afternoon.
After a short service inwhich
the most. recent grand-
mother Mrs. Hugh. Davis lit
the Advent candles and all
joined in the Advent hymn
led by Rev, Smith on the
guitar, Mrs. Wayne Carroll
was at the piano for the
carols and hymns.
This was followed by a
Christmas pageant with
Robbie Gee as reader.
All of the members of the
Sunday School took part,
then the children provided
piano solos, readings and
solos and of course "old
Santa Claus " paid his an-
nual visit with gifts for the
pupils and the two teachers
Mrs, Vicky Gee and Mrs.
Hazel Davis.

90th birthday at the home of

A number of senior
citizens and a few others
were on a bus trip to
Tillsonburg. We toured
Coyles and had supper at the
Tillsonburg Mall.
When we went in a foster
boy that Mrs. Ross Krueger
had been looking after was
there. It sure made her day.
Shc hadn't seen him,for four
years. He is pow married
and has a three year old son.
Then we went onto Simcoe
to see all the pretty lights,

A delicious pre-Christmas
dinner was held at the Star-
dust Inn at Crediton for the
"Senior Citizens", After the
dinner Bob Heywood enter-
tained and the members
were delighted when Santa
made a surprise visit' and
gave each person a bag of
candy. Attending from here
were Martha Geromette and
Gertie Hodgins.
