others. But strife of all sorts
has its origin in the selfish
desires of man's hearts,
"Only as Jesus exerts His
authority as Prince in our
lives, can He bring the peace
we long for." said Mr.
Brown.
The choir sang the anthem
"Glory to God in the
Highest" and, an M. & S.
"Minute Talk" was given by
Sharon Newman.

Cheryl Lynn of the Clan-
deboye choir, presented' the
lovely Cantata "Christ is
Born", by John W. Peterson,

Soloists included Jeannie
Jones, Flora Robertson and
Henry Kaune and Rev. Keith
Brown joined Jeannie in the
duet "In God's Heart it all
Began". Ed Melanson, a
member of the Session, was
the narrator. It was a
beautiful service and well
worth hearing again,

donations of warm jackets,
thermal underwear, boots,
etc for Vietnamese
Refugees. All siz@s for
children and small sizes for
adults. Please take to

Street, or leave at the Lucan
Church as soon as possible.
Next Sunday morning
Christmas Family Services
will be held at -the Clan-
deboye and Lucan Churches
at the regular times, and
Sunday evening the mem-
bers and staff of Lucan S.S.
will hold their Christmas
concert at 7 p:m., to which
everyone is invited.

at 7 p.m. a Candlelight
Christmas Eve service will
be held with Holy Com-
munion being celebrated.

and Iva Hodgins attended
their former church,
Metropolitan United", Lon-
don, for the annual Christ-
mas Pageant and White Gift
Service. It is always a
beautifully professionally
presented pageant with
superb music and was of
special interest this year to
the Hodgins as their son
Wayne, with his "own"
beard, and his wife
Rosemary acted the parts of
Mary and Joseph.

'send was struck by an un-
known vehicle while it was
parked on an Ailsa Craig
street, Sunday. Constable

Constable Wilson set
damaged at $600 when a
wagon load of corn flipped
over on County road 24, west
of Highway 4 on`Friday. The

Much of the business in-
volved disbursements of
funds raised by the Guild
during 1980. Working
committees for 1981 were
formed and final plans were
made for catering to the
Sunshine and Busy Buddies
seniors tomorrow, Thursday,
at 12:30. Reverend Pocock
closed the meeting with
prayer and assisted Mrs.
Pocock in serving a delicious
festive lunch.

A Christmas pot luck
smorgasbord luncheon was
enjoyed on Tuesday by the
members of the Lucan
Women's Institute in the
Masonic Hall.
During the business
meeting which followed,
eight members signed up to
purchase the Institute pins
which signify that the
plowing match is being held
in Middlesex County, a
donation was voted toward
the "Helping Hands" group.
It was agreed to save used
stamps and send them to
either the Bible Society or
the Leprosy Mission and two
members Agreed to deliver
the 50th Anniversary gift to
Reta and Cecil Robb with the
best wishes' of the branch,
The January meeting will
be held the third Tuesday, at
2 p.m. and each member is
asked to bring an item on
"Consumers", as well as
something for the "mini flea
market".
An impromptu roll call
was answered by 13 mem-
