Blue's three goal lead on a
powerplay goal. Brad
England tried to split Salon's
defense with .the puck
dropping back to Moon who
made no mistake. Andy
Hardy also assisted on the
goal.
Thirty seconds later Mike
Wraith stole,the puck; went
in all alone, deked Munro
and slipped the puck over the
falling goaltender.
Moon finished off the first
period scoring when after a
goal mouth scramble the
puck rolled back to him and
his quick shot beat Garrison,
Don Lankin with his
second goal of the game
upped the score to 6-2 when
he scored: at the one minute
mark of the second .period:
Lankin caught Garrison out
of the net after another goal
mouth scramble and slipped
the puck into the open net
viith Feke and ,Hearn
assisting.
Salon 174 came right back,
netting four straight goals to
tie the score at six each after
two Perioda4 plaY-
Don Couglin finished off a"
two on one break with Wraith
and Wilcox assisting to start
things off.
, Wraith came right back
when he took ,a pass from
Gary Miller and his screen
shot eluded Munro.
Miller narrowed the score
to 6-5 when he found the
mark with help from Couglin
and Wraith.
Couglin finished off the
second period when he took a
pass from the corner and
stuffed the puck past Munro.
Gary Hayter and Wraith
drew assists on the goal. •
Wraith gave Salon the lead
for the first time in the game
7 minutes into the final
period. He outraced a Blues
defender for a loose puck,
cut in, deked Vlunro and
slipped the puck over him.
Greg Roberts tied the
score when he' took a pass
from Harry Wraith and his
screen shot was blocked by
Garrison but the puck had
enough momentum to cross
the goal line. Bruce Cornish
also assisted.
Mike Wraith scored on a
powerplay for the eventual
game winner, his fifth of the
night. Wraith stole the puck
from Munro, skated around
the net and fired the puck
into a vacant net.
With the Blues pressing,
Gary Miller of Salon 174 took
a clearing pass from Wraith,
went in all alone and lifted a
shot over a fallen Munro.
Don Couglin also drew an
assist on the final goal of the
game,
In 'the second game three
first period goals by the
Greets were all they needed
as they upset Hagen's
Hackers by a 3-1 score.
Mike Anderson opened the
scoring at the seven minute
Mark when he took a loose
puck and banged it in off the
post to give the Greens a 1-0
lead. Greg and Gary
Revington assisted on the
play.
Anderson catne right back,
carrying the puck across the
blue line and his shot to the
short side leat Hackers
goalie Wayne Parkinson.
Gary Revington with help
from Jim Thomas -upped the
score to 3-0 on a pretty goal.
Revington left 3 or 4 Hackers
players in his wake and beat
Parkinson With a high shot.
Bill Haskett ended Greens
goalie Dave Revington's bid
for a shutout with the final
goal of the game in the
Second period, Wayne
Parkinson started the play
passing to Steve Storey who

-held their Christmas,
Meeting and pot luck

The Christmas story as
found in Luke, was read by
'Gladys Hedgins and Marion
Hodgins, the President, save
a brief meditation by Her-
bert. Q'Driscoll entitled "The
Ism" based on the Scripture
reading,
A report of the gift sent to
the Prayer Partner, in lieu of
"exchange gifts", was also
made by Marion Hodgins
who said that 70 lbs. of
"goodies" had been mailed.
A letter of thanks was read
from the "Helping Hands"
for past help in the group,
stating that the service was
really being used. Members
voted a donation toward this
work A letter of thanks also
was read from Maude
Hudgins. . '
Members were reminded
of "Project Christmas"
(formerly white gifts) ,pn
Sunday, December 14 and
gifts are to be brought that
day, for the "adopted"
family. Announcement was
also made of the Sunday
School's "Nearly,New" shop
each Friday from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. and there are still
raisins and cherries
available.
A humorous reading "Oh
no - another food processor",
was given by Joyce
Sovereign and the story
"The Lost Christmas
Madonna" was read by
Marion Hodgins, who also
thanked the hostess for,
loaning her home for this
lovely occasion.

Salon 174 took over sole
possession of first place in
the Lucan Rec hockey league
with a come-back victory
over the Blues while the
Greens defeated Hagens
Hackers by a 3-1 scare,
In the first game the Blues
blew a 6-2 lead and went on to
lose to Salon 174 by a 9-7
score.
The Blues struck early in
the game when Dom Lankin
finished off a three man
breakaway at the 1 minute
mark, with Andy Hardy
assisting.
Shortly after Jim Hearn
took a pass from Harry
Wraith, skated along the
boards, cut in and slid the
puck through John .
Garrison's legs. .
Hearn came right back
when he deked Garrison
after taking a pass close in
front of the net. Don Lankin
and Willie Feke assisted on
the goal.
Salon 174 scored eleven
minutes into the game when
Mike 'Wraith with help from.
Gary Wilcox and Gary,
found Haskett streaking
down the boards. Haskett's
quick wrist shot beat
Revington, who played his
best game of the season
coming up with several fine
saves.
The • Green's lost one of
their top scoring threats
when Brian Noyes suffered a
broken wrist during the
game. Noyes could miss the
rest of the season with the
severe break.
