They entertained the ladies of Elimville Huron- dale and Staffa Institutes. President Mrs. Ron Denham.opened the meeting with a reading followed by the singing, of the Ode and repeat ing Mary Stewart Collect, Mrs. Clarence Switzer presented to the Kirkton Women's Institute a gavel stand in loving memory of Grace McNeight. Clarence Switzer's sister was an active Institute member, Mrs. Ron Denham accepted the stand and on'behalf of the Kirkton Institute members thanked Mr, and Mrs. Switzer. Minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary Mrs. Ewart Crago. Roll call was answered by naming an old fashioned food from grandmother's clay. A number of local girls received Provincial. Honours, Rita Poole, Susan Spence, Cheryl Brine, Janice Burgin, Shelley Fletcher, one advance honours Donna Skipper. Health Conveners Mrs. Roger Urquhart and Mrs. Howard. Bearss were in charge of program, Mrs. Roger Urquhart gave a reading. Mrs. Clarence Switzer gave the motto "Blessed are the old that listen to the young, doubly so blessed are the young that listen to the old". Mrs. Roger Urquhart then introduced the guest speaker Dr. Jim 'Jean of Exeter. He talked on Family Dentistry and a few points on medical aspects of Dentistry and prevention of tooth decay. Dr. Jean answered many questions. Mrs. John Stephens and Mrs. Earl Stephens favoured with a piano duet. A reading was given by Mrs. Dave Shamblaw, .Mrs. Howard Bearss thanked all.
