Playdowns in DiStriet
three of the Ontario Ladies
Curling competition are
underway in Exeter this
week and a local rink
remains in the running.
After it losing their first
game Monday to Belmore,
the Exeter foursQrne
bounced back with an 11-0
win over Seaforth Monday
night and continued their
winning ways Tuesday
Morning by edging Listowel
8-7 in an extra end.
After three rounds of play
at noon Tuesday, only rinks
from Ripley and Durham
remain undefeated. These
two teams were meeting at
1;30 yesterday afternoon,
The other Tuesday af-
ternoon matches pitted
Exeter against Goderich and
Belmore against Kincardine.
The last four clubs were all
even with records of two
wins and one loss.
A rink must lose two
games before being
eliminated. Four teams will
be still in the running for
Wednesday play which is
scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
Mary McCue of Listowel is
the convener for the district
and Beatrice Daws'on is
representing the Exeter club
in operating the tournament.
The Exeter rink is com-
prised of skip Karen
Davison, Betty DeBloels, Dot
Wales and Dorothy chap-
man.
