Less than three minutes later the Sherwoods evened the score on Rick Ingram's goal with the assist going to Jamie Caldwell. Just past the inidway mark of the opening period, Ingram scored again CO put his team ahead for good. This time Greg Campbell assisted. In the middle frame, Terry Caldwell 'converted a pass from Dwight Consitt at the 10 second mark to put Hensall in front 3-1, Before the second period .ended, Randy Gilfillan registered for Exeter on a pass from Luc Gagnon and Lloyd 'Allan scored for Hensall on an unassisted effort. The final period saw Terry CaldWell 'and Murray Connolly score for Hensall. Ken Varley and Dwight Consitt provided assists on Caldwell's tally and Connolly scored on a solo dash. The final Exeter score came from the stick of Luc Gagnon on a play started by Mike Anstett and Randy Gilfillan while Dave Kin- sman of the Sherwoods was off for tripping. The Centralia . Marauders and' the Centralia College Saints played to a 3-3 tie in South Huron intermediate hockey league play at the Stephen township, arena, Thursday night. This week the Marauders will be in action on three occasions. Thursday they Will be in,Hensall to take on the Sherwoods, Friday they are in Zurich and Monday _night they will be at the Stephen township arena to play host to the Exeter Mohawks. In Thursday's game Ed Michniewiez .of the College Saints scored with only 56 seconds left in the third period to get the 3-3 tie with the Marauders. Captain Ken Vanos assisted. The first period was even with each team scoring one goal. Lloyd Holdbrook counted for the Saints at 12:50 of the first period on a pass from Ed Michnieweiz and only 10 seconds later Matt Muller tied the score for the Marauders on an unassisted effort. The Exeter Waxers were the only minor team to gain a win this week, as they posted a 3-1 triumph over Lucan at the rec centre,' Sunday. Robbie McLelland scored all three goals- to pace the win, • Jim Ahrens and Alan Blommaert picked up assists in the victory and Harlen Tinney recorded the win in the nets, Ste've Nixon scored Lucan's only tally on a play with Chris McLennan and Eddie Vankerkoele. Atoms thumped The local atoms suffered a Marauders, Saints tie The only goal of the middle frame came from the stick of Ken,Vano's of the Saints on a three-way passing com- bination with Ed Michniewiez and Mike Sadler.
