Later in the meeting, Bill and Frank Loyens of Lobro Construction reported on progress of a propOsed senior citizen apartments. Speakers included District Governor Lion Allister Cameron, Dutton, Deputy District Governor Lion Alvin. Betterly, Mt. Brydges, and Lion Keith Grigg, Eder- ton. The Walter Ostaneck dance in September was well attended and the music en- joyed by dancers and listeners both. Lion Bill Sandisoi. was honoured with the "Lion of the Year Award" and presentations were made to Past President Lion Ted Giesen and to new members Lions Frank Toonders and Bill Sandison, who joined the Club last spring. This fall two more members have been added, Lions Neville Clarke and. Bob Benner. Lion Alex Hyde was ap- pointed co-ordinator of the Lucan Minor Hockey Association and will' have a very busy winter ahead of him. The canvass for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind netted ap- proxin-iately $1,000. Thanks to all who helped and all, who contributed. Zone projects this year will include a St. John's Am- bulance mobile first aid sta- tion, Terry Fox month, November, and an Inter- national Night.
