Dear Mr. Editor:- ' Recently I was in your town for a couple of days and did quite a bit of walking around. There was one thing that struck the: the unique phenomenon of a bowling green right in the centre of the town. To me that is a civilized feature. A town with a boWling green in the middle of it, right on the main street, must be a town that is concerned with more than just development. Congratulations. I hope to return to Exeter in the summertime and actually see people bowling in the middle of town.
